but this yr national day falls on sat , so which mean still have to apply for 1 day for most of us.. so almost the same as going on normal weekend

 

As what wayne had mentioned, for those who are working on sat, it's considered a PH to them so they need not apply additional leave. For those whom are working 5 days week, i believe they would have a off-in-lieu for the sat PH which in turn could be converted into a off day on Fri, thus considered a long weekend to them too.

 

Bringing forward the event to july would not be advisable as we have a 40% TBC rate, which makes it hard for me to book room too. Postponing the event to sept might crash with MotoGP, which at this moment no one is organising yet so we would not know would there be one. The next PH i believe would be in OCT already, which is hari raya puasa and not a long weekend, so some of our muslim bros would be unable to make it.

 

Thus, the date would still remains.
