Waiting for my 2nd attempt TP on 09/06/10

 

its good that you got 16 points. like what bro johjoh said you have what it takes to pass the test. just that the immediate failures let you down. its ok bro. book your revisions and try for the next tp

Oh ya...just now the seller tell me the venue, I went there, message him said I reached...He replied "20 min later, have a lunch" ...made me stand around there looking silly.

 

Oh ya...If I buy from the seller, at which point of time do I pay the seller to be safe?

well if you like the bike and you are keen to buy it then the safest time to pay is after you go LTA to do the transfer of ownership.

Anyway...tag number 20++ in circuit no much traffic right? cause the session just ended. I tag 34 the session going start and a lot people cross the zebra crossing, dangerous.

Did you get a good bike during TP?

 

Just now went to meet with with the seller...quite unhappy. The seller ask his friend ride the bike to meet me. Ask him things he either say "donno" or "maybe got problem"...then say what 6 months ago just bought from shop...ask which shop tell me not sure. Vomit blood. Did some checking, realise his rear brake light not working, I point at him he say "donno...I think the bulb fused"...If he never tell me and I really bought it, people bang me from behind I won't won't know!

I also saw the right side of his suspension, totally rusted out, the other side just oxidized. Ask him why the suspension like that, he tell me he not sure, maybe got problem.

haha~~ ya i know.. after the TP, instructor say go to classroom 5 gathering together and wait for result.. those tag number been called out mean u r failure.. den he say for failure gonna book 2 RR 1st den can book retest.. den today i book 1 RR on 01/06/10 another on 08/06/10 session 4 mean at 2.10pm.. den and 1 SP on session 3 12.20pm to 2pm.. but system say cannot continue in 2 slot.. Yesterday i on 1 SP and 1 RR continue can~~ but book for 08/06/10 cant~~ i ask instructor he say last time can but now system change cos customer feedback say very tired after 2 session so gonna 100 min break and disallow to book

better luck next time round. try not to look at the TPs sitting there. tell yourself just do what you have been doing for the past few months. get it done, once and for good.

same here. my 1st tp i failed. see tp i very nervous. in the end accumulate a lot of points.

 

2nd tp, not nervous liao, si bei sian, waited 1 month plus already, i got the ' get it over and done with ' attitude. i guess that attitude help me to get over my nervousness

hi vashie, for this kind of seller..i can only suggest walk off from the deal. buying from private seller..besides looking at the price and bike..also need to look at the seller's character..in ur case..the seller seems insincere and not trustworthy at all. can only imagine how he took care of his bike.

If is paying after the transfer...I can like deny never pay after the transfer is done and the seller cannot do anything about it since the bike is already under my name. Key wise...just change ignition? haha...anyway...is there like a spare key for bike? Can bring bike key to make another set from those keymaker?

During that time before my TP I also met with that problem! Wanted to go for another RR the day before TP, but due to that new system I cannot book already caused of my SP before the RR slot.

Got once I tried 2 lessons together...really is dehydrated and my sweat is flow like tap when i look downwards! But it's was still manageable. If people can't stand 2 lessons together, they can don't book! Implementing this new rule is like restricting people who want to get license fast and wasting people's time.

The should trim the trees around E-break area more! Totally cannot see the TP at all there. Some more that day I TP the Tester holding green file! Play safe, if you not sure whether the tester is really waving at you or just stretching with a very funny action, it's better to wait. You can get immediate fail by moving off without the Tester asking you to, but I don't think you will fail if you let him to a more obvious waving action.

I still don't feel comfortable with his one sided rusty suspension. So I guess I'll walk away from it although I like the colour of the bike.

Ask the person test ride then I can hear the sound, see the lights, see if he do anything weird while handling the bike.

welcome bro! just sharing my 2cents opinion and hopefully we learn from each other. becos once the seller tries to avoid answering ur queries and starts giving excuses..aha..means he got something to hide and all the "secrets" he's hiding will show once u take over. i once tried my fren's phantom..really very relaxed position, more relaxed for the pillion i guess!

 

of course u can request him to ride for you to see. test ride urself is the best though its the "by left" way. u also can ask him pillion you during the test ride to not only see and hear the bike, but also feel the bike such as the vibrations.

don't worry. the seller can pillion you. and also check whether the bike makes some weird sounds anot. cuz if it is internal problem and you never realise it, you would have to pay for the repairs in the end. buy from seller disadvantage is no warranty.

it is advisable to check your bike at the bike shop before buying it. cuz after you buy and go and check at the shop and discover got problem you have no choice but to pay up for damages. you go complain to ex owner also no use cuz he would say not his problem and that the bike is in your name now.

 

one way is to ask for receipts of repairs and servicing from the ex owner. if the ex owner say he got overhaul or change the parts etc, ask for the receipt to make sure he did it. atleast it shows that he isin't lying. usually if the seller is trying to hide something, he would hesitate to show you the receipts.

 

and you can make a duplicate key at a normal key smith.
