I used Michelin Pilot Sporty. Average weekend riding 150 km, even had ride 500 km in a day in JB, direct hit by rock in TPE once on 100 km/h just shake, lucky. Rear tyre last 9 months just change in JB RM140, front still long way to go.

Note. Bike specs, front 29 PSI, rear 29 PSI but with passenger 36 PSI. Tyre specs, max load 137 Kg.

also guys, wanna ask you'all if you guys have alternatives for extending fuel tank into u-box, bike fab quoted me 350, kranji quote me 400, way off budget man.. any jb or sg alternatives?

Have check in Malaysia, nope. But think of it, is it safe, very near to engine heat as the user manual as mention before. Just hope some dealer import Honda Future for bigger U-box and tank.

hey what pressure do you guys pump for battlax 80/90? my mech told me 290

Epic Size for Epic things... lol...

290 is too high.

I pump 225 front and 250 back

the sticker on my chain guard says so. I just follow.

Anyone face cracks on battlax?

My rear battlax have lots of stress crack inside the threads, crack can also be seen where the tire meets the rim, a few obivous crack on parts which meet the road.

Tires are 8months old (12000 km)

Front tire is filled with many holes(no punture) caused by stones/rocks and hard braking.

Now, that sounds right for tyre pressure. I follow the pressure on the chain guard.

What is the production date on the tyres? Front BT39s are usually like that because they are made up of softer compound.

From owner's manual:

Front tyre: 29 PSI

Rear tyre: 29 PSI, with passenger 36 PSI

Air cleaner: 4,000 and 8,000 km clean, 12,000 km change

Spark plug: Every 8,000 km change

Engine oil: Every 4,000 km change

Drive chain: Every 1,000 km lube

I used Michelin Pilot Sporty. Average weekend riding 150 km, even had ride 500 km in a day in JB, direct hit by rock in TPE once on 100 km/h just shake, lucky. Rear tyre last 9 months just change in JB RM140, front still long way to go.

Not wanting to start a debate... But for the good of all wave riders...

- Bro logen? your input as well?

Cheers!

Oh, I usually follow the chain guard information provided the tyres are of the stock size too.

Forgot the pump pressure though.

Guys...need to check with you regarding the fuel consumption. How far can a full tank last?? Mine is only 125km. Is it normal?

My average is 42 km/l but sometimes hit 60 km/l on highway.

What I found in the manual is:

But I used Michelin which can't find ant information on pressure so I follow bike spec. My friend used Dunlop which indicated max PSI only. Other information found on my Michelin is max load is 132 kg and bike max is 170 kg, so I follow the lowest anyway I don't like to pillion. Another is tyre max speed is 180 km/h, ha ha, my bike best speed only 120 km/h.

eh guys, reading thru this thread, i saw quite a few post saying a reliable, cheap mod, is to change cams. any idea if thats true? wanna boost torque, but not sacrifice too much of the reliability. so no big bores etc..

thinking if i should change to racing clutch plates, springs, gasket, plus the racing cams.

any old birds wanna guide me?

For my personal riding style. My average is also 42km/l in city riding.

Last month August I rode up to Cameron highlands. 100 Km/hr on highway. My tank also hit 125km and then ran out of petrol. I carry extra 5L petrol can with me in my basket, so no problem, I will stop to top up every 120km. So I think it's quite normal if you always chiong 100km/hr on Singapore highways.
