do you know anything about our arrow muffler?? need to replace the fibre inside one or not..my dun know y become softer..strange then there ius this golden knot around the mid section..what it is used for??

 

about tonight kulai/petrol..i yesterday jusr went in jb top up wif fren..coming back sg jamm for 1.5 hours on a noraml weekday..the computer system down.when i waited till my que, then need to use my passport to tally wif one big stack of printout,then somehow the computer down..sh*t sia..

 

guys we should considered join outing from beyond the screen..moree pple go kulai seriously more fun..dun know everyone nvm one la..we can stick to one table when we got there..also can..tonight trip i see how, cause maybe meeting my gf..

 

have anyone did any valve clearance b4???

2-seat and no center stand is FS, combined seat with center-stand is F4i. evrything else identical, except maybe the FS has one extra tooth on rear sprocket.

 

btw, i'm assuming u noe the pic in ur avatar is the 'RR', not 'FS'.

 

it seems like F4i still sold overseas but ppl here say discontinued locally. as for the FS, forget it, it was directly replaced by the 'RR' so confirm no more first hand models, though shd be easy to find good 2nd hand specimens.

i must say rr look more fierce. in term of handling, any sporkbikes wif the correct tire/pressure and suspension setup should not face any major problem in handling.

handling r easy for f4i,cause of the shortwheelbase length( n f4i is much lower then a rr, thus giving u more comfort n u won't feel the stress on your forearm). in term of wat kind of handling u r looking at.. rr will be much lighter than a f4i thus can say will be easier to handle( as wat ellamcoy say the rr handles like a s4)..as for mine f4i hitting to 250km/h plus..bike still don't vibrate much cause of e weight i would say to me the handling is gd.cornering also very easy but depend on skills, a pair of gd tires will help alot. for 600 cc bikes i would say not much choose if looking at sports..

To clear the doubt, u can try to check wif any RR owner.... ofcourse, anyone would say their's is the best! Human nature. As i have the good fortune to try both F4i and the RRs, u might want to check out some facts and specs from your close RR and F4i friends.....

 

1) consumption per litres

2) riding posture

3) height of the footrest

4) common problems on each make and model (eg batt)

5) feel on the conering

6) possible depreciation on each model

Thats bcos u used it as a ka tat and sit on it all the times.... thats not the way to ride a sport bike...

Best cost saving measure is not to repair it , or maybe paste sticker over it . No choice one , as it cant tahan the pressure of our thighs .

Was a Good Track Day..

Hope those riders that crash have a fast & smooth recovery..& nothing major to ur ride.!

 

To the "R1 rider" that told me i was slowing him down in the corners during the 5 lap race i'm sorry that u were behind me..maybe next time i should check my blindspot when turning during the race!!Plus i did not know my 98 CBR600(sport-tourer) was way faster then ur Yamaha R1000cc on the straights..!!(think that's a compliment). 

 

I was told by many riders..When in the track..juz concentrate on ur line..if ur fast & wanna overtake another bike..take another line..Can't expect to horn him rite!! 

 

Think again before commenting/ on riders to "not join the race" if they are slow..please don hinder us from getting the experience of having a dog-fight feeling in the track..not to forget the exposure of being in a race.. 

 

Apart from all that it was a Good Track Day!

seriously, i dun get wad u mean... the crack existed before i got the bike. after i moulded it back, it cracks again because of the old damage which was already done to it and once the problem is there, it will reoccur again. that goes for all problems. i ride the bike the way i like it and i dun think there is any problem about the way i ride my bike...

It was a design flaw . Cos while riding , the weight of the body adding pressure to the seat and the pressure of our thighs on the plastic will eventually pressure it to give way . My f4i oso got tis problem.

mine also slight crack..started from the place where the screws are??then underneath my seat got a few squarish sponge so that our weight won't make it crack more.

Aiya.. wat i mean is we used our bike so often.. day in day out.. of cos our weight even not as heavy as ang mo... will cos the plastic to give way... in long run...

 

thats not the way to ride a sport bike...

 

wat i mean is when ang mo only used it as track bike.. even they r heavier... they don't put all their weight on the seat... in fact if u ask me.. they r like "standing on the bike" ... which mean their weight is at the foot peg...(frm UK CBR forum)
