Well.. all it start with personal prefernce...

 

For street riding.. for easy setting.. u must hve a fix road.. thats mean e.g. from home to work... and take note the speed u travelled.. e.g. 90km/h... on which lane..

 

For me, day 1, i get up early.. then set all to max... (to & back)

day 2, i get up a bit earlier... then along the way, i will stop to adjust... not more than 1 turn.

day 3, i wake up normal, with tracffic condition changed.. abt 80km/h.. it still feel a bit hard...

day 4, i get a bit early, then softern a bit more.. travelled at 80km/h to work..

day 5, i wake up normal, with 80km/h.. if it work fine with me, then ok...

if not...

day 6, i get up normal, softern by 1/4 turn, then test again...

and contiune....

 

Normally the factory setting is ok for most road condition..

 

when years go by.. the damping rates and compression will soften.. for easy setting.. just set the factory setting and tighten a bit will do..

1/4 turn each time...

 

My setting for street riding now is F( preload 2 lines, rebound 1.5 turn out, compression 1.0 turn out)

R(preload 3, rebound 1.0 turn out, compression 3/4 turn out.)

 

My setting for track used is F( preload 1 line, rebound 1 turn out, compression 3/4 turn out)

R(preload 3, rebound 3/4 turn out, compression 1/4 turn out)

 

These are for reference only.. do not use it.. cos different wear & tear rates... different body weight... different bike weight...

 

And one more thing to check is yr wheel bearing...

 

Last last thing is balancing for your tyres help too...

 

Last last last thing is yr riding habit.. u open throttle faster to feel the torque.. or u open throttle smoothly... (for me, i always ramp my 1st & 2nd gears...)

On that day I will lock on Mr Hock, bcos he go mountain look for sifu liao. Follow him hope can get some usefull tips:cheer:
