My apologize for these noobish qns i jus wana try get my hands dirty on my phantom

 

1) is there anyway i kan change the bike oil by myself?

if its possible, how do i do it? and what kind of oil shud i buy?

 

2) is there anyway kn tell when ur tyres need to be pumped?

go to motordiam once, watch them do, pay tuition fee, ask them for the torque wrench size. A simple spanner may not be enough to tighten it.

 

regarding engine oil, so a search. for TA200 i highly recommend u get " ?w 50". eg 20w 50, 10w 50.

 

Tyres just routinely pump once a week.

 

This is just a welcome post, search is your best friend in here. Minus DIY change EO, the rest has been covered a zillion times. search for "viscosity", the search cannot do 3 letters (eg. "oil")

 

last buy not least, please dun throw the used EO into bin or flush down toilet.

For most, see how many pages that thread is, and u rather log off already. so i recommended my buddy to him, name's search. It will also turn out relevant posts in newbie thread anyway.

 

i have a qn for u, since TS asked about EO anyway, how would u compare ELF with your jap brand, based on profile. is API SL really such a winner compared to SG, most off the shelve EO are SG from my limited knowledge. Starting to get excited about this new brand (decent price) i learnt about that's made in a different land. (the fully syn claims EU/FR)
