700 is a f**king rip off. Price of a brand new racing flatslide carb(not the normal 34mm carb) plus manifold is less than 200GBP. Second hand 34mm carbs can be bought for as cheap as $100(if theres a good deal on ebay). I forsee a qn asking what is the diff between the racing carb and the normal one. The ans is that the racing carb has a flat slide compared to a round slide. And it has a much smaller(therefore less tension) spring, which makes the throttle alot lighter and therefore improves throttle response.

one day we shall have the kopi race =D bt not now ah. Waaaay to busy and got other priorities in my life right now. And some recent problems have put me behind financially for awhile. So cant do anything to my bike. I feel damn bad man. Really no time for my bike anymore. Bike has been relegated to a mere transport bike for home to school commute. Just now i just rode it for the first time in a week. Haven service the bike for like 2mths. Tyre oso i just pump juz nw after 2mths plus. lol Front was 150psi rear was 165psi =o Really really neglected. I hope i dont get punished for my neglect.

i think all these brand name expensive coolants are just gimmicks. I ran my bike on tap water for around a week and in that time did a couple of top speed tests. Nth happened to my bike. Of couse you shouldnt run tap water for extended periods coz it will cause the radiator to rust. That said, any normal coolant would do. We dont live in sub zero temperatures so we dun nd any of those anti freeze crap in our coolants. Theres alot of things you can waste your money on. IMO coolants are not one of them.

I have. Without proper tuning/set up u wont notice any gains from the cdi. Probably the most noticeable difference is the bike will rev all the way to 12krpm with ease. Mine makes power up to 11.5krpm, on standard cdi only up to 10.5krpm.

1:13 and 1L of petrol to 13ml of 2T is different leh. 1:13 is 1L petrol to 77ml 2T, the latter is a ratio of 1:77.

FBF 2 digit number plate? Anyway those who use Silkolene Comp 2 Plus, juz wana ask u guys, is the 2T yellow or purple in colour? Coz i vaguely rmb it being yellow the last time i poured in a bottle(like 2mths ago) but i juz poured in the new bottle i recently got from PJME juz nw and its purple in colour. hmmm. thx for the informative post larry. I'll drop by ur shop one day and have a chat about u regarding the suits. I guess of all the people here u must have probably gone through the most riding gears so i guess ur the right person to ask abt these stuff. Anyway i already emailed Spirit and they quoted me $700 for their baseline custom suit and $1.2k for the baseline K-leather suit. Frankly im more inclined towards the K-leather since i've read and heard that they're lighter and more comfy. Comfort is my no.1 concern coz i wore a cheap suit before(the one in my sig) and it was really a hinderance and i couldnt get into the proper posture to take corners and stuff. And taking into consideration that it was a borrowed suit, it was a little on the big side and the lower half was baggy. This made the sliders sit a good 2-3inches below my knee so i had to pull up the lower half causing it to crumple at the groin area and cause a hell load of discomfort. Simply said, i spent a good 8 hellish hours in the suit(from morning, ride up to PG, then riding back in the evening. Oh plus we had dinner at coffee shop in riding gear too) Sooo, i dont mind spending abit more for a suit that fits well and is comfortable. Branding and other stuff is a lesser priority, though i really really love that Dainese logo on the hump.

Like u mentioned, its a general warning light. So it will light up when anything that requires a warning comes up. Like when ur 2t is low. Or when ur coolant level is low. Or if ur tyres are wearing off. Or if ur going too fast or revving too high. Or if ur cornering too low and about to skid. And the most important function is it will light up super bright if theres a general passing by or approaching the bike.
