  10. Thanks for replying. When you say engine, do you refer to the entire thing, block, piston etc?
  11. Hi there, I've never scrapped a bike before and I have a malaysian buyer who is interested in my bike for spare parts to repair his own. Since he does not need COE in Malaysia, I was thinking scrapping the bike and then dismantling the parts for him to bring over by car would be the most cost efficient. Does anyone know what parts I have to surrender to the scrapyard, and if the scrapyards will process my bike if I only surrender the minimum required items to them? I read some previous forum posts and I think I got the rough idea they need both the chassis and the engine or engine cover? Can anyone clarify if it's only the engine cover or the engine itself? I believe it will make a difference because the engine should consist of the important spare parts and if I had to scrap that the buyer wouldn't be interested. Thanks in advance =)

  20. Thanks for the bump, but I think I will keep the JollyMotor exhaust together with the bike for the moment!
  21. Aprilia Rs250 '02 model for sale COE expiring on 23rd December 2022 (10 years more, just renewed last december) Road tax expires in January iirc Bike inspection valid until August 2013 Bike runs fine, pistons overhauled in April 2012 Fuel consumption is about 10km to 16km per litre depending how you ride Comes with aftermarket JollyMoto exhaust pipes (the ones in the picture actually. The aprilia racing cover is just steel zip-tied for inspection purposes) Comes with stock exhaust pipes Runs on SPC 95 petrol and Castrol fully synthetic 2T oil Bike is serviced regularly at Hua Chin Motors in Bukit Batok by a capable technician The engine works very well, but there are some faults with the bike The odometer/speedometer is aftermarket and NOT working properly so disconnected (original was faulty and I left it at the Mah Motors workshop but never retrieved it) Paintwork at the head of the bike has started to flake off slightly I've never dropped the bike nor raced with it, but I believe the previous owner has brought it to track and skidded on it before. Overall the bike serves me well going to school and back, but fuel is expensive as well as 2t. The bike is suitable for aprilia enthusiasts who have the funds and time to rebuild the bike. Will sell the bike for 5200 SGD, buyer to pay transfer fees Viewing available near Lakeside MRT. Please SMS 9489O938 for more details.

  24. Hey guys, ive bought my bike =) thanks for the viewings Vik. Anyway i just wanted to ask, how come when i kick down to first gear from stationary, my engine will cut off? i warmed it up properly in neutral also. so everytime i change to first gear i got to restart the engine. this only happens in the mornings when i first start the bike
  25. Thanks for the information =) i called mah motors, they quoted me 8.7k for the '06 bumblebee model(rounder head/tail) everything except insurance included. do you guys think its a reasonable buy? i would prefer the sharper details, but if the performance of the bike is better in the '06 models than the newer 1s, that would compensate for the asthetics. thanks!!
