Good on u! I did no research on the 848 and bought it only becos a mate was selling a very special unit which was well cared for. It turned out much easier to ride than the legendary 916. And as for heat... What heat??? Hahaha!

I am same height as u.... Seal is right that the seat is narrow, so it improves reach as our legs are not open so wide. Getting a used bike helps as the springs are more seasoned... I'm very comfortable on my 848. U shld have no problem.

The ol' man is rite boyz! Nothing good to say best keep quiet.... and so i have done for quite a while. But i see this thread degrading into a sales thread.... So, I do not see what's wrong with Rocky poking a bit of fun at our mate who chose also to join in the sales procession as well.
