@naim thanks for advice, now i am trying chex 9000, compared to previous castrol 10w40 (from LAB), chex 9000 feeling a bit more vibration, draggy & a bit harder to shift, not sure what's the reason... anyway, exhaust sounds nicer (slight louder & deeper bass) @Ray Oliver Donovan next time i go Dr Koon there try.. @trex101 where u get this Schaeffer 20w50 V-twin? n d selling price is? 10S

i am riding a 7yrs old phantom, just owned for 2mths i need some advices, should i use FS oil? like thumper or chex 9000 or motul-300v mentioned above? or just stick to my current $7 castrol EO? (just changed ~1mth, already hit 1k km) i hope to get an EO that creates LESS / MINOR vibration, LESS noise, SMOOTH gear shifting within 2k mileage pls advise... 10Q:)

@naim u hv tried so many types of lube, guess u hate d chain noise too, hehe... share wif us once u hv tried gear oil next time @ezzyoiler the chain can run up to 25k km w/o reteinsioning just with frequent lube & cleaning, wow! @Silent Hunter yup, safety 1st:thumb:

thx ezzyoiler, but chain oiler wil create a lot of oil splash 2d rim when riding, another problem 2me too:(

Hello ezzyoiler, thank u 4 reply. just use soap water 2clean? i assume u were saying d oil stain on radiator not sure if my carb is over lean or not, coz mech tune 4me:cheeky: just curious, why over lean mixture will boost FC? hmm... talking abt EO, do i nid 2spend $ 2get an expensive FS EO? i was thinking if this expensive EO (e.g. 20W50) is able 2kill the engine noise or not... i read thru forum, some said 20W50 EO will create a lot of vibration, thou it gives max protection to engine thanks & regards,

dear all PKs, i would like to know if using a branded EO can reduce HOT engine "chit chit" noise when throttling? currently i am using 1L cheap cheap EO cost $7 and not sure if this is the root cause, EO has already run for 900km, gear shifting still smooth & effortless, so i guess the EO is not deteriorate yet. P/S: cold start "tick tick" noise has been solved by replacing Chain Tensioner, now the problem is when engine is warmed up & running hot thank you for ur attention!

dear all PKs, i face a scenario & need your advice. i replaced DID X-ring chain & HONDA sprockets (new rubber roller as well) in PL_N_T bike shop due to irritating noise (comment from the boss ah ch_ng), thereafter the driving system is really become amazingly silent:cool: but unfortunately just within 3 days, the chain noise immediately surface. went back to bike shop, adjust chain tension, still the noise is there. i tried dry teflon chain lube, only last for 1 ride, that's all. P/S: free rolling (clutch in, close throttle) i can hear noise from chain, sound even louder when riding (just normal riding, no speeding...) hmm... i wonder which type/brand of chain lube can eliminate the chain noise effectively? pls advise... thank you very much!!
