it provides more lubrication for the piston..

too much 2t premixed into the petrol will lead to more white smoke and a quicker carbon build up in ur exhaust..

i premix my kr too. Sure its abit lei chey but i believe that at high speed, premix is better cuz its more evenly mixed?

As for ratio wise, im using 90ml 2T/ 6.5L of petrol. Though the ratio is less than recommended by manufacturer, i already do get quite abit of smoke. Someone once told me, cheaper 2T add more; expensive 2T add less lor.

When i trying to find my ratio that fits me, the rule i go by is just abit of smoke from the pipe can le. (can see smoke come out but doesnt linger around). Too much smoke i get more mileage before my next pump.

In conclusion, ratio-wise, i believe that more 2t better than less 2t. i rather get weird stares, breathe more 2t smoke when starting than getting piston jam at 90kmh.

kito and nightmar3: So do you still top up your 2T tank? or you remove it altogether? The pump still pumping right? Or did you disable it? Will it be bad for the pump to keep running without 2T?

suisui,I just had a talk with Kallang 2 stroke mechanic/racer.

clarify my myth and what 'i believe' about this 2t..

he told me:

ktm200-kr150-tzm150

simple as

if NO 2T PUMP!

on premix setup:

add 20ml per 1litre.this is the recommended ratio.

with factory jetting.

So,if we were to use 2t pump

we pump petrol liao

AND WE ADD 2T INTO THE TANK.

its redundant.

will only build more problem than helping it.TRUST ME

--because i asked if more 2t everytime whack good for piston, tio bo?

he replied although u told me u whack,u tell me in spore road u can whack 80-90%% of your riding?-which then result in optimum petrol/fuel/air burning.

if it's not solve, that's when u see tzm,ktm and even rxk have wet plugs on road shoulder!

ans:Quite true la ah

so best advice.

if were to use 2t pump,no need add 2t or what **** on tank.

just buy maxima, silkolene those $26 which is very highly rated on market.

thats when u want better perfomance or high grade, etc, boyesan reed valve maybe..

but bare in mind, the 2t bottle written for 2t pump marking ah,not for premix only.

hope my 2 cents input come to help :)

Thanks arsonist

aikau: there is a different type of 2T in the market made specially for premix one right? If using that type of 2T then do we still need to 'shake' the bike/fuel tank after top up (to properly mixed it)? Sorry I noob to 2-stroke engines.

B-King: to your first question. I removed my 2T tank/pump. If its bad to not remove it.. that one i not sure.. need lao jiao/ mechanic to answer

2nd question: Shaking the bike after adding 2T is to aid the rate of diffusion. It makes the 2T mix more evenly faster. And if im not wrong, most high end 2T ($15 and above) the bottle says premix formulae. I guess this only means when u leave your bike over night, the 2T will not seperate from the petrol like oil on water.

hope i helped

i premix my aprilia rs125, i never encounter wet plug before.. neither do i have bogginess or hard to start.. it's all about the tuning as well.. i'm alreadi running on 34mm carb and 18+ mainjet size and i'm still running abit lean.. my plug is greyish ash color..

btw i just dont get it for those who running on 2t pump yet still pour extra 2t into the tank..

If ur whole fuel mixture(in the block per stroke).. consist of 80% fuel, 10% air, 10% 2t.. u increase the 2t.. it will become 70% fuel, 10% air, 20% 2t.. means u're feeding ur engine more 2t than petrol needed.. no doubt it's extra lubrication for the pistons but insufficient petrol to give u the power.. btw tats wat i feel dun flame me yahs! =)
