i juz found out that once u pull and handbrake plus handle lock, u can't release the handbrake lever. Wonder is this useful in terms of preventing theft of bike in Malaysia? Though of going KL or Genting on bike but worried bike lost by the time i wanna return back to singapore..

yes, fuoco got a original box but it is considered an accessory, does not comes with the bike, u need to buy separately.. and if i'm not wrong, it is 40L, black in colour. I went for GIVI instead bcoz bigger and nicer.. lol

Nobody is interested to steal your Fuoco here la, especially in Genting. You can leave your key in the ignition and it will still be there after a few days. Its a cheap three wheeled scooter that can't even hit 160km/h going down a vertical cliff for god's sake, not an expensive sportsbike....most bikers look at it with curious amusement, not admiration.

haha, glad to hear that.. might try going genting one day on my fuoco.. btw, bro mrmagoo, is KL safe too? Any parking lots for bikes at Bejaya Time Square Hotel or Federal Hotel?

Hot bikes are Japanes inlines, Italian and American Vtwins. Fuocos and other megascooters are ok, no one wants them here.

Even then, take the usual precautions. Just as you lock your doors in Singapore, an extra lock on the bike will do ok.

thanks for the advise bro mrmagoo..

Hey, anyone knows if the Fuoco 500ie is for sale? What's the diff between 500 and ie version?

2. how's the pick-up speed like for fuoco? Seems really heavy bike, anyone care to share their experience compared with other bikes owned? Thks.

Posted

i think fuoco only got 1 model, that is the 500ie.. i'm riding one.. although the bike is pretty heavy, the pick up speed is quite powerful.. top end not that fast, about 140+ stock condition..

Thanks william, I'm lovin' my mp3 125cc for 2 yrs now, but hoping to upgrade to Fuoco when I get my class 2 license. Although my mp3 hasn't given much problems, my mechanic warned me against getting another 3-wheeler cuz these Italian bikes are not suited for our hot climate and by his exp, they start giving probs after 3-4 years (e.g X9) and parts can also be very expensive.

So, where do you normally go for Fuoco servicing and maintenance? And any probs with the bike so far?

hmm.. so far i onli went for piaggio service centre bcoz still covered under warranty for any faults with the bike. hmm.. i have a few issues regarding the bike's electronics.. if u get caught in a heavy downpour (i meant those really heavy ones) or u park under heavy rain, the electronics gets abit short circuit.. signal light might come on by itself, horn might even engage by itself.. i did ask around other bike shops, i was told the bike is not as waterproof as Jap bike. Perhaps Italian ppl built the bike without taking the climate of asia countries into consideration. As for the parts, i guess an italian is no doubt more expensive compared to jap,thai,etc..

so far any major problem u encounter with ur mp3 125?

Oh man, your circuit issues resolved but have to avoid rain next time? Do other Fuoco riders have waterproof issue?

Yeah, my mechanic also warned me about the electronics. It took him nearly 3 hours just to install a stebel electric horn on my mp3 :p

Haha, he shakes his head each time I bring my bike to his workshop - and tell me next time stick to a Honda Silverwing or Yamaha.

Recently, the bike wouldn't start becoz a brake light fuse had blown... apparently, it's a bike safety feature. Anyway, the same fuse blew again, so total my bike had to be towed back twice within 2 days! Now he just give me a bag of fuses to replace myself if it happens again... :/

So our italian bikes are sensitive man, I did have some engine/gear and battery problems during the warranty period. I had to go to my mechanic for SOS, he fixed it and was problem-free for a year plus, until this fuse prob last mth.

Anybody also have similar mp3/fuoco probs in SG / MY ? Know any mp3/fuoco-savvy mechanics around?
