hi all

need help.

anyone ever faced the problem of wind entering your speedometer?

when riding, the needle moves back and forth due to the wind in it.. so i wont know what speed am i travelling at..

i viewed a bike with this problem and the seller say he asked in shops but cant find a solution.

or could there be other reasons that cause the needle to swing?

thanks!

check the gearing teeth of the speedometer on either ends.. a loose teeth will cause the speedo reading to jump about..

There's no replacement for displacement except for a blower

Hope this isnt to late but you may want to check that the speedo cable is seating properly as kaieiru suggests sometimes the cables unscrew and become worn allowing for eratic needle movement

if the meter gearing works fine, i doubt the wind can do much to affect the movement of the needle.

i feel that the seller may be taking u for a ride by claiming the shaking needle is caused by wind.
