hey brothers of sgbikers..... im currently having a grea headache... need opinions....

porblem: my bike TZM, currently stagnant at parking lot due to piston jam!!!

when checked, we found out xertain things are mess up totally!!!

water pump not working.

piston jammed

deep scratch and scuffings of wngine block...

piston ringchipped piston and piston ring

now...

just wondering if reparing it ourself is cheaper or just send to the bike shop????

my estimated price for all the listed items above it cost roughly ard $500/+

so guys roughly tell me ur opinions here ...

im willing to look into ur ideas

Go bike shop. You need a lot of special tools to do. And I don't think you have it. Just the piston ring alone is a special tool required. Torque wrench is another one.

 

And in the first place how on earth did you wreck your machine into this state?

bro sorry to say this but it will cost most than $500 for a new block and piston...And maybe ur ConRod also habis liao.. ur coolant not working? must be ur radiator... Radiator itself cost ard $100++.. bring to your mech bro , It's a whole lot of things to do...

my friend encounter piston jam in SLE... another friend of mine together with me, we take turn to put our right legs on his left pillion footrest and push him in to AGL. much effort needed. hmm.

that's alot of things to repair... i would recommend pushing to bike shop... seems like internally everything messed up liaoZ haha

Actually if can tow to singapore custom, ask ur friend to help or u just push to malaysia custom, From there u can call ur reliable JB Shop, say u r at the malaysia custom & bike cannot start, from there they will tow ur bike to their shop..

 

**I know Long Heng at AGL there they got their own transport to bring ur bike to their shop, other shop i'm not sure.. Seen ppl done it b4, thus share with u the process..

doubt u will be able to DIY properly. if u do not have enough knowledge or if u dont have proper tools.. if piston block need to be re-bore.. there is close to no way i can do it at home..

 

u need alot of specialised tools.. rather u go to bike shop to do.. faster and might cost lesser den DIY..

 

just imagine u bought all the parts but lack of the tools, how? are u going to buy the tools? are u going to borrow?

 

how long will u take? 3-4 days? or more if u dont have the proper knowledge..

yeah im being as patience as possible... thanks for the concern fellas, yeah i have the tools... and my bro is a mechanic.... he will guide me thru, furthermore what is bike all abt without even knowing it inside out.... thats the risk im willing to take....ppl say its not how u pose or sit on ur bike its abt how well u ride it... my riding skill....so so lah...hahhaa..i just love stunts more than speed anyway. yeahi wanna know everything of tzm/ bikes so i know everything inside out... furthermore..there is a saying; " GIVE A FISH, HE WILL HAVE A MEAL. btw where u get 1st hand engine block?

yeah dude its ready..... im more confident of it now!!! hahaha its great i only completed 600k for running in hahaha.... its great to have it back man!!! well sometimes i think its a lot better having a standard bike compare to modified... my life always been on the look out for TPs.... anyone here knows who is TP officer by the name of GUY, should know what im talking abt!!! he gave no chance to illegal riders and modifications!!! even division officers!!! im in fear of him catching me!! he know me and i know him well enough!!! last shift a colleague of mine who ride KTM 200 was fine by him!!! we both park in the station cos we are on duty.... this TP guy waited for him at the bike lot... lucky for me i stayed back before going home.... he got 500 fine!!! his bike is standard but u know singapore... the rules are quite unreasonable at times...

as for my bike i cant wait to try it at high speed....
