Eh, congrats!! What's the minimum point for Gold, btw? Forgot. All I know is I need to jump an insane 197cm to get an A.

 

I'm taking on Saturday at 8.30am. That's okay! I'm riding the trike... I refuse to get molested that early in the morning.

Seriously, one shld get prep for it.

Its nt a one off thing, cos the body cant tk the shock on the day.

If a training regime has been implement & followed, going for these would be easy.

for 2.4km, try start off with casual jogs ard the neighbourhood.

 

Suitable time would be early morning before work/sch, or evening, or night.

Get a trusty road, get some stretching & off u go, slow jogs w/o stoppages.

Hydration before & after working out is important, so dont forget abt that.

 

For SBJ, try doing static chest jumps. x5 times per set. Try to find a fitness corner that has a SBJ mat.

Get into comfortable(own) pre-jump position & try jumping. Each time nt more than 3 tries... as yr knees & legs need rest.

Try & try again when repeating yr training regime, & u'll see improvements...

For the record, I ran 6km 2 weeks ago. Looong time for long distance. The only thing I've done to prep so far is load up on carbs so my liver is full of glycogen.

 

I'm went sailing though, I suppose that helps? *hope*

erm, i supppose sailing is for the muscle build up?

& also patience. nt sure abt stamina thou.

Training for these are nt just for one off. Its has to be scheduled as a regime, say, every mon-wed-fri, full work out, for abt 2hrs. the other days are "rest days" for the muscles to rebuilt.

 

For running, a "sudden" long jog/run maybe refreshing, bt tk note, it may just do harm to the body instead.

Because the body cannot suddenly tk the shock effect of working out that long, suddenly.

What you can do, is to just simply start off lightly, gradually increasing the distance & steps stage by stage.

And to implement it by self-discipline.

Another alternative would be, cycling, dont hv to spend big on a real bicycle to mk yrself sacrificial on the road, a gym bike will do.

Or, swimming, which also works out the full body, especially the lungs & also help built on the stamina.

 

Of course, we cant rebuilt the body w/o the correct intake source of energy.

Eating right & moderately also contributes to body muscles rebuilding & being healthy.

 

o... think i shld stop here.. i could go on & on & on....

& it'll become a fitness thread here... :lol:
