cause you're travelling at such high speed, more fuel will be needed inside the combustion chamber. Then suddenly you closed throttle, the amount of fuel still left inside the chamber.

 

Meaning you need 4 potion of fuel to travel at 90km/h, but only need 1 portion of fuel to travel at 40km/h.

 

So when you suddenly reduce speed from a high speed, then required fuel for lower speed is much lesser than the amount still left inside the combustion chamber, that's why got back fire la...po po po sound...

 

Plus our bike got 2 spark plug, sure the po po po sound will be even more...

Hi bros,

 

I have managed to find a bigger jet for our bike. This will GREATLY improve our pickup, fc, mid range and top speed when paired with the K&N Air filter that we've purchased.

 

The Jet is a small customized screw that controls the flow of petrol to the carburettor. Stock jet on the pulsar 180 is size 110. recommended to use 120-125 with the k&n air filter.

 

When we install k&n on our pulsar, the fuel mixture runs lean. To put it simply, too much air, too little petrol. this will improve ur pickup only by a very marginal gain.

 

However, with the size 125 jet, it will allow more petrol to be burn with more amount of air brought in by the k&n. this will effectively bring the engine to a "richer" run, burning our petrol at a very high efficency rate, thus improving FC and greatly improving our low end and top speed.

 

If we were to combine the above formula with 2 denso irdium plugs, the results will be :lovestruck:

 

There are reports of a pulsar 180 in india with k&n and 125 jet hitting top speed of 142km/h :cheer:

 

I bought the size 125 jet @ $5 in singapore. I've attached pic of the jet

seriously peeps... if u guys are into modding yr pulsars... get a stronger carb.. paired wif k&n filter and good tuning.. i confirm u will get better performance.. not sure about top speed... but accl.. hahaha

nope. that dealer don't do filters for bikes le.

I got it from Sporting Motors @ 15 Moonstone Lane.

I tried india dealers but after shipping still not as good price as local dealer.

I'm going to malaysia for a short holiday. when I'm back on monday I'll let u know if I can manage to get another one at same price :cheer:

Hi all... I just passed my TP today IM getting my Pulsar Gen 3 tml.. Hahaz.. kinda happy.. Im a friend of JeffAw and he recommended me pulsar.. Beame a fan straight away. Hope to learn from all u more experienced ppl here.. Thanks..

i am riding a bajaj pulsar also....its a nice bike.......but those considering speed this is not ur choice....it only looks gd n big........will save money on fuel
