guys, i gonna to go for my second servicing leh... wat type of engine oil should we use? gonna buy my very own one.... any good brand in mine.... tot of splurging some cash for my wife... had anyone try caltex the highest grade petrol...how is it? for now, i been using v power.... so far so good.... anyone got any place to change the tyre to bridgestone battlax.... can we use BT45?

Posted

btw, i felt that my brake pad is wearing out soon.... cause when i press the rear brake pad, i really need to press it fully before it active braked.... how to know wen the brake pad is wearing out soon.... where to change good brake pad and how much...

Posted

bro.. abt yr rear brakes.. look closely at the rear brakes from the right side of yr bike.. if u look really closely u can spot an arrow indicator showing how much more rear brake u got.. check it out yrself and u will know wad i mean.

abt yer tyres.. ask ard shops. iam also using battlax but i forgot wad model or size. i got for 160 a pair which is pretty ex. now tyres are the only things between u and the road.. so look for a good pair.. splurge yr money on a gd set of tyres for yr wife..

if u have more money to splurge, and u wan 2 spend on engine oil.. try maxima. and if u still got money to slurge!!! giv me yr money and i will help u spend hahahaha!!! no kidding just save up for rainy days when u know yr wife and u had a bad day out on the road.. in situations like dis cash in hand is really helpful...

one last thing... petrol.. i suggest u dont waste money on higher ron fuel like caltex platinum or vpower... our bajaj are not race spec machine, with high compression ratios blah blah blah... iam using ron92 and its still get me where i am always... just think of it... in india they are running their bikes on poorer quality fuel. and belive me they are doing fine

Hi All,

BEWARE: Pulsar 200 is defective. DANGEROUS!!! !

Bajaj is playing with people's lives.

The new pulsar 200 is the worst bike.

it has design defects nd is dangerous.

Inform all your friends to be careful about pulsar 200.

the pulsar 200 has defective front forks which break even at speeds like 40kmph.

Lots of the fork breaking cases have come up nd luckily nobody is killed yet.

Some photos of the broken forks

oh 100kmh... normally ppl will say, plus or minus 10kmh. I think the chances of getting the ticket is 20%. Unless if u did not on ur headlight or rear light spoil.

for SLE, the bridge where the TPs always hide are the one linking to Mandai Crematorium. so riders pls beware.

for PIE, the speed camera between Eng neo and BKE exit. Although they write 80kmh, but i tried 90. There isnt any prob. but abv than that, dono will it flash anot ... :)

maybe we tell Universal to take the later batch of pulsar 200.. unless they wanna make money and get the first batch that should be 'cheaper'..

but than again there's warranty.....but how long also the fork can last hor.

I've not even installed the filter yet :cheeky:

Waiting to go to JB motortiam with Lancified. Will update on my FC after that

I do still monitor my FC. I simply top up 15L every time and reset the tripmeter. Minimum mileage b4 next top up is 600km (=40km/L)

Ya, I will.

Btw Goof, u intent to upgrade to S4 ah? Cos I came across a post by u in 1 of the threads in the Used Bike Sale Section for S4.

Heard that Jeffaw has traded-in his Pulsar for a S4 at Southern Motors.

I'm also toying with the idea of upgrading to S4 end of this yr but still considering lah whether the higher purchasing and maintenance costs are worth the +37 bhp.

Perhaps those who have experience in riding both S4 and Pulsar can comment?

Straits Times Report Wed June 6

"A Parkway Parade shoe seller has been found to be profiteering by charging a levy for Nets purchases ahead of a rise in the fee levied on retailers.

Under their agreement with Nets, retailers cannot pass on this fee to consumers.

The fee hike ..... will see merchants paying transaction fees of up to 1.9% of purchases, up from the current 0.35 - 0.55% ..... will start on July 1.

..... consumers should call the Nets hotline on 6274-1212 to report any errant merchant."

So guys, be aware of your consumer rights so as not be fooled by any shop.

Cheers.

actually ash bro, i actually still considering to upgrade to S4.. well i can easily sell my current bike and jus get version S or something without forking out extra cash (exclude insurance)...

so how ah... the only advantages Pulsar has for super four is good FC low maintance.....

sigh... our bike change engine oil every 2000km per litre.. while super four 3litre engine oil every 5000km.. its about the same also right.. slight different only.

wat other great different ah?

4 spark plugs, coolant, oil filter, higher insurance, higher rd tax, fatter tyres (if need to change) .....
