Ugh. Damaged my left foot rest and my head cowling (scratches. Pilot lamp cover scratched through). Thankfully nothing else is damaged. Will be going down to universal to get a replacement cowling... and shop around for replacement foot rests. stock... are CRAP. Gonna ask the mechanic to replace the speedo too, since some condensation appeared on the inside before. gonna replace it while warranty is still covered.

Anyone has an idea how much a head cowling would cost?

Hi there.

For a BAJAJ, do you think a 48 or 52L box will look too big for the bike? Coz I just collecting my bike on tues or Wed and planning to install a box.

Accident ah bro?

If I remember correctly, head cowl for ver2 costs $60-$70.

I agree with u that the stock foot rests are crap. Changed mine in JB. For front ones, no prob. But for rear ones, need some mod cos the mounting catch seems different from those on Jap bikes.

Interestingly, the last time I went to Bajaj service ctr, there was this malay fella riding a red ver2 Pulsar who actually replaced back his aftermarket foot rests with stock ones. From wat I can see, the reason was the rear aftermarket foot rests were not secure. Probably due to poor mod workmanship. So do take note of that if u wanna change to aftermarket rear foot rests.

:goodluck:

Oh dear, Thats pretty expensive. I believe that the price is going to be further jacked up for the UG3.

Lancified has the Givi E21 side boxes right? Where did he get them done up, and how much did he pay?

I bought an E45 and a Metal base plate for $90 in all. Is it expensive? Someone say I kanna chop le?

heh, i tink its cheap leh. those brands like zeus 48litres with rear brake light already cost $85. does the E45 come with brake light?

Does Metal and Plastic base plate makes any difference? Now I looking for a Metal Rack. Where got cheap installation le?

actually i thought it doesnt make any difference. but when i installed my side boxes, the left plate is metal and the right is plastic. and the plastic one very flimsy. i dint like it at all. so in the end i changed to the metal one.

i only know the metal one is heavier den the plastic one. but it doesnt really matter to me. now my FC is 40km/litre with those side boxes. w/o the side boxes i get 43km/litre. w/o side boxes, using stock tyres, i get 46km/litre.

No more regrets.

Thank you Paiseh for the feedback. oh.. I got GIVI with 4 or 5 LED light one. The model is E45 Simply GIVI. Looks not bad. Then Press button then the box get unlock. I was told that this is a better quality one. I dunno how true.... Also got a Upgrade to Metal base plate. All for $90. I wonder if it is cheap.

I didnt know Zeus one so cheap. Only $85 including the base plate? Hmm..

Saw a bike at universal workshop with the e21 boxes on sat. Think its black color. Could be belonging to one of the bros here.

I notice cable ties on the rack of the side boxes.

At first i wanted to fix the side boxes but ditched the idea after i saw a pulsar with it.

I think it might make the pillion uncomfortable with two boxes at the side of their bums.

:)

My digital speedo went funny so I got it changed. Taking out the speedo isnt too difficult. I guess doing electrical diy mods should'nt be too much of a problem as long as we have the correct tools.

But becareful of shorting out the electronic parts. Prior to my speedo going crazy, I actually blow a fuse while trying to install brake lights for the box I bought from Bro Goof. Think one of the ICs got overloaded, burnt and shorted.

I fixed a 52L Givi Maxia to replace the Zeus given by Universal.
