Which Mobil station in Tuas bro? Tuas is damn big area leh.

so during the DIY session, we dun need to wait wait and wait for the tools

Actually I was abt to ask u (and Lindavw too) to list down the tools required for the DIY session. So if the others have even just 1 of the tools, which is better than nothing, they can bring along. So that, like u said, dun need to wait wait and wait for the tools .....

im quite worried if the signal casing cannot take the heat. becoz usually its on/off on/off. now always on... dunno can tahan anot.

Universal would be happy to hear that. If David were to read this, he'd probably call Bajaj service ctr to reserve 1 pair of replacement signal light lens for u and to wait for ur arrival .....

:btw: the replacement signal light lens cost $4 a piece.

all u need is a + screwdriver, size 10mm socket or spanner.

adding a flasher relay, means the switch of the hazard lights can be on anytime...

meaning straight current from the battery instead of tapping from any where.

u peeps ok wif that or 1 2 turn on ignition then can have hazard lights?

if u choose the 2nd option then i got to find which wire to tap when the ignition is turned on, but bike not started .... which is oso hard bcos UG3 is all digital so it is quite hard to find such a wire in the whole wire stack.

Life Is Never Fair.

Some pple slog for the paper in their wallet.

Some slog to feed the paper to the pple w/o the wallet.

i post my circuit here u all help me think where to tap the 12V from ok.

the top one is the $5 hazard light.

bottom one is the one added the flasher but dunno the 12V can tap from where.

Let me get this rite cos I'm an idiot when it comes to this so pls correct me if I'm wrong. U're offering 3 methods rite?

Method 1

Independent hazard light switch. With flasher. No need tapping. Hazard lights can be turned on any time even when in 'ignition off' or 'locked' positions. Like cars. Which also means any Tom, Dic k, Harry can activate the hazard lights when the bike is parked.

Method 2

Independent hazard light switch. With flasher. Need tapping but dunno from where. Hazard lights can be turned on only when in 'ignition on' position.

Method 3

$5-method. Need to activate both hazard light switch as well as signal light switch.

u can tap on horn +ve. the horn's +ve will only have current when u turn the bike's ignition on. but im not sure if the horn's +ve wiring can take the current supplied to all 4 signal bulbs (most likely can la). but to play safe, u shld add in a normally opened relay to protect the bike's wiring system

u r right. anyway, method 2 can be solved easily. just tap horn's +ve will do. but dunno is the stock wiring harness can take the current. (most likely can la). so who wans to try out first? haha

my method of hazard light for older versions also tap directly. dint go thru relay coz i took the chance tat the wiring harness can tahan. of course i tried it out for a few months first b4 i dare to intro brothers here la :cheeky:

btw, yest nite i rode the bike for 30mins. this mornign i rode for 30mins. so far the front signals dint show any signs of "cannot tahan" hopefully this goes well

So if can tahan, then u'll stick with the stock orange lens?

Btw I've checked with Universal. No stock for UG3 clear lens yet. But they say the clear lens can be used on ver2.

Bro RR71 u r correct man.

3 methods.

Bro paiseh, the stock wires can take it one la no need relays,

1.5mm wires can take up to 10A in current ratings.

think our battery is only 6-8A hence overloading everything into 1 live wire will not cause any distrubance unless we r toking about stuff like Stebel horns which draws 12A for both horns.

Lights usually draw the least amps...

:)

ya lor, nv spoil ma so just continue using lor. but the lifespan of the signal bulbs will decrease for sure.

ok cool, den u can try out tapping from +ve horn there.

anyway, i always add relay just in case short circuit or anything caused by the loading (in this case bulbs or horns) wont affect the original bike wiring harness
