Hi there,

I have a domestic preasurise steam machine which i bought to clean and strealised my kitchen hob and my kids toys. I was wondering if it can be used to clean my chain as well? Anyone have tried it before?

Great idea..

Steam will really strip all n everything ftom the chains..road grimes..grease ..and what not..

But

Will your o rings in the chain can withstand the high temp..?

If the o rings gets bad from over heating...wow thats bad news..i wouldnt know..no experience in that area...

What if its a std chains without rings?..

No problem...no.

The next issue how are you going to relube your chain thooughly..the only way I know is to soak in lube..

But thats too much hastle..isnt it?

Unless you have a easier way to relube the chains...i wouldn do that..

i love my ezzyoiler

I don't think it's a good idea. O-rings are made of a rubber compound and the high heat is probably not good for it. Not to mention the plastic parts of your bike.

Just clean the chain with kerosene, or even water and soap, and then lube it up.
