What i know is that the vehicle has to be towed to wherever u wan it to be, be it inspection centre, bike shop etc...(during the lay up period,as no rd tax n insurance is paid for it to be road legal)

ANd im sure there's a GARAGE ADDRESS for the vehicle during the period of laying-up..

That garage add is the one that matters most to them...

u have to update them shud u decide to park the vehicle elsewhere.(ur werk plc or bike shop)

BECAUSE if their officers conduct a RANDOM CHECK at the garage add as stated in the form, and the bike is not there, literally ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE..

So u decide....Yes or No..

U b the judge bro...:p

WORRYING IS LIKE A ROCKING CHAIR...

IT GIVES U SOMETHING TO DO BUT...

IT DOESN'T GET YOU ANYWHERE!!!

Still i want to stress out the fact that i may not be 100& right...Best is to check with the relevant authorities, which in this case, is LTA...

From OneMotoring

Quote

"The vehicle cannot be laid up for any period beyond the current COE expiry date if the COE renewal application is still pending cheque clearance.

Lay-up will be granted for a period of one year at a time, up to a maximum of 3 successive years.

You must also inform LTA of the place where your vehicle will be garaged during the entire period of lay-up.

A vehicle which has been laid-up for 3 years in succession and has not been re-licensed will be automatically de-registered."

They do check. So becareful. Hefty fines who disobey the law. This is a FINE city anyway.

But if it's parked inside a garage under lock and key they don't have the rights to pry it open and check rite?
