hey guys, sorry to post this here but i need help with my gilera runner. ytd it rained rather heavily and it flooded the carpark. unfortunately, my gilera runner toppled during the rain, and now it wont start. batterie's working fine, petrol's up. i'm guessing its the spark plug or that rain water has gone into my petrol tank. anybody can help? btw my bike was more or less drenched in water because i opened up my helmet box to find it flooded. heart pain.

guess it shud be as the same as a ST200....

tinking of replacing my stock one...

But has doubt over its design and compability unlike like those of its brothers 06 and earlier models.... thanks....!!!!!

06" is using H8 for both headlight. Pilot light is T10, colour can be found is SG > Red, Blue, Green, white.

Which is the most suitable engine oil for vsr runner?

Any reccomandation from guys riding VSR?

As i using Agip 5w-40 engine oil for now and i felt the engine is slightly rough. Used less then 1.3k millege.

Is Motul 300V 4T FACTORYLINE 10W40 a good engine oil?

My runner seems to need to throttle abit whenever need to start be it in the morning or afternoon so long i let it rest for more than 2 hrs and from what i see it is a common feat with all scooters i known. I was also feeling abit weird as compared to my bigger cc bike when i crank, it does not need any throttling. Could be due to the compression ratio i guess. But i guess while cranking and a slow rev up of the throttle shldnt give bike any damages to start the runner.

Lamer i`ve checked mine & the conculsions is tat my auto choke wasn`t working.Kindda lazy to take it to Piaggio.If u want can bring it to e agent to get it FIXED. . but be4 tat be prepared to quarrel with them,Cos their service is super lousy sia.

huhs get mine fixed??? o0 mines lik brand new lehs~~~ diaoz -_-" normally auto choke e idling sound is slightly louder and after awhile it wil be back to normal idling sound.

 

By e way bro, do not use ur alarms's remote auto start for ur engine, it will cause you more damages like burn ur cdi etc. Remote start features are well known on our cls 2 bikes that will cause damages in time to come.I have got a frend who got faulty starter ignition due to the remote start and some hear say by my other frends that ppl they noe have other damages.

Anywaes just to check yours under wat condition u cant relaly start?, Mines normally when engine is cold will have such issue if not when is hot can just start without throttling.

hahas. . tats abt it bro lamer.Brand new but problematic. . lolx. . i got my bike on july 09.Still beri new right?anw the hard start issue was since day 1. . lolx. . went to piaggio they sae is normal.my mech checked n change my carb jet.got better,but their recco was to bring back to agent to get the auto choke working.For my case,Early morning hard to start n everytime park after some time,sae like 4+ hours later?but once warm up,easy start up.

Hey Alien bro same as mine, mines barely a month old haha.al my frends say got to throttle a little to start runner or erms auto scooter but that i duno how true. Wel i guess is only engine cold, but once u ride den u stop lets say park 15mins to 30mins, u dun have to throttle to start. If you were sayin to get the auto choke work, means in e first place e auto choke was not even working at all am i right? Hmm at times could be the design of the runner by e manufacturer i guess but to me is a flaw. If it doesnt cause much damage to throttle a little when start den i reckon shld b ok.

i've no exp in auto transmission bike so i'll try my best to explain my situation here, please advise on 'What could be the cause?':

 

During stationary move-off, my bike is kinda 'coughing' & 'jerking' until i open up to 70% throttle, it manages to solve most of the 'coughing' (>80km/hr).

 

I'll try to put it in this way, in a manual bike eg:

u try to move off from stationary using 3th gear, bike like no power & keep coughing until it reaches mid RPM den bike returns to normal state.

 

Things i replace to dated:

Engine Oil & Gear Oil (Shouldn't be it causing it)

Spark plug & Air Filter (Before replacement, bike oreadi like this. replace oso like this -.-)

 

I think is the carb, belt or variator.

any pro pls?
