By using after market pipe such as 4road, SBK, ect, do it consume alot of fuel????

Might consume a bit of your fuel ? Not sure neither, but much research-ed, i think it does consume extra 1-3KM/L? Haa let's the senior decide on this :)

well the first thing is to get it the stuck half of the key out. If your're using stock CDI, means u most likely using the stock red coloured gilera key. then u must get yr masterkey. and ya u would need to go to piaggo to purchase a spare key from them.( i believe the shops at kallang might also carry the red gilera keys.) then go get your duplicate key done and yr pretty much good to go.(this is wat i did when i loss my key) Another way is to change yr CDI to aftermarkters ones then u can use those normal keys instead of the red coloured gilera key.

Bro, So i can make a duplicate key for my gilera? Cause was afraid that there might be some special sensor or whatsoever. Btw if that possible, I can just bring my (red gilera key) to that person and duplicate it?

Just a LV 4road mod... That's all. I try not to rev so much when moving off. Really helps I think. And I commute on expressways most of the time and me being small build are some of the contributing factors. The worst FC I've gotten was 30 km/l and usually when it's time for servicing...

But to think of it, I've pillion most of the time too. Surprises me when ppl get around 28km/l which is common for this bike.

I see, thanks for that small advise bro! damn i went full service last month, and still FC about 18-20KM/L which is so annoyed that SBF scooter are going mad about FC problem. Time for mech to do the job :)

You will need the master key to do the programming, without that you cant.

call me if you need more info, cheers.

yup that is correct. I'm actually using malossi CDI. Once u have this, you wont need to have yr master key to reset the code key with the gilera keys. And yes kenny is right there's no code key for the aftermarket CDI.

My vxr 06, i tried letting go both hand when going slow(reaching traffic light) also trying to balance and seeing the diffence from bikecycle,(Used to cycle and play with free hand) seem like when i free hand my vxr 06. Kind of falling to my right side. But there is no shaking felt, Is it your handle bar make of fake steel?(joking haa), anyway not sure about this yet, guess best is to let mech handle it. :) cheers bro

Bro, do you’re Gilera got box? And if there's a box, is it full or not. If got box and it is full, that might made the cause due to a lot of weight at the back end. If not, is this your 2nd hand bike or first? If first, it should not be shaking. But if 2nd hand, the previous owner might met with an accident and cause the problem. Or you did you try no hander on a bumpy road? hahahahaha

My 2 ct bro.

I hv this experience this before.

Check

1. Front & rear tire for wear & hardness.

2. Front & rear rim's bearings - spin it, should rotate freely, if can remove ur brake caliper.

3. Steering bearings - Turn left & right should be smooth.

Q1) What exactly is the fuel tank capacity of this bike? My friends say they can pump up to 11 litres but mine will overflow when I reach 9 litres??

got kickstart? find out which model first to be sure?

Q2) My bike has a really strong smell of petrol coming from it? My friends say it could be the fuel tubing leaking?? Any other possibilities?

besides the fuel lines, could be overflow from the carb

Q3) After I added new coolant, it started to leak out after I park my bike for like half an hr after i ride it.. Its been leaking abit abit for the past week but i can still see coolant in the coolant reservoir so shud be safe rite?? Wat cud be the cause of the leak??

coolant fan spoilt, coolant tank cracked

Q4) My fuel consumption is abt 20km/litre. Is this ok?? I pump 98 most of the time..

if your bike is stock then you're getting crappy mileage. Mine is done up and i'm getting 22km/litre. check with your mech.

Q5) Can u guys recommend a tried and trusted workshop for me to send this sick bike of mine to..

Trust sheep, he knows his stuff man. =D

Hope u guys can share some answers with me so i can get this sick bike of my fixed

Wanna meet me for supper? hahaha i'll fill you in on the details.. Plus i'm bored.. AND i'm not gay =D

Hey bro, gilera rpm should be around 1.5 and not 2.. If is at 2 ur bike will be easily over heat. If you insist want it to be at 2 just remove ur underseat compartment cover and turn the iding screw up to 2.
