GILERA runner VXR 200 workshop

Hi! Everyone!

I am new in Gilera! I hav a few question for my Gilera VXR200. Hope you guys are willing to share with me some of your experiences~

 

1. I knew that there is a pipe that connected with the engine it suppose to release the air of the engine does it spill oil also? not much but just every time after riding it hav some.

 

2. Every time when I twist my throttle i can feel that my rear wheel is like slip to left side. I heard from someone I need to do the engine mounting. What exactly is it and how much to do that?

 

3. My exhaust got white smoke come out is that something do with engine? Whats wrong with it? Engine oil?

Hi yall.. Have anyone done this before?

I just bought the socket, and i think i have an idea how to do this, but would like to know if anyone has done this before and could share a tip or two. I dont want to put this under the seat

 

 

Next i want to try do is flood light. Or can i just install a bright light on the two side lights on it? Can i do that? With the converter, will it be bright but not glaring to the person infront of me?

Great bike, easy to ride. Just that going 90km down slope the wind is too much..

 

Anyway my fuel light blinking with 2 bar left around 180km travel only. I pillion ppl most of the time. myself weight 90kg.

Is the fuel normal?

my 07 vxr 200 fuel bar keeps showing empty and blinking today. Even after i fill up full tank, on and off engine, the indicator still shows empty and blinking.

 

anyone here has same problem before?

Hi guys! Riding a 2004 VXR200 here. Want to trade my EVO panels for stock ones.

 

Specifically I'd like to exchange the EVO horn panel for a standard one:

 

 

Mine is bright red, not black.

 

Would also like to trade the EVO front mudguard for stock:

 

 

Again, mine is red, not carbon effect.

 

Wouldn't mind returning the air vent panels to stock, either. The EVO ones look like this:

 

 

 

Overall I bought the bike with EVO panels but I much prefer stock. If you have a stock bike but you like the EVO look, let me know and maybe we can work something out!

Hi guys, just seeking for your opinion. My bike can't start but the all the electricals still working. Reading through the posts, I think it might be a problem with rectifier and/or coil cause I just changed my battery a month back. From your experience, around how much should a change for rectifier and coil cost ? Just asking to make sure I have enough money before I call for towing. Thank you. Any and all input will be much appreciated.

All the runner brothers, my vxr total odometer hit until maximum with all 99999 km but it never reset to 00000. So what can be done to reset? Thanks in advance:(

Is it true tat gilera vxr200 not advisable to use open pod? As water might go in if using hose to wash the bike. Advisable to use back stock air box?

hi all.

 

I got a stock 2007 VXR200 with a GPR Exhaust. I am thinking of doing some minor upgrade to make the bike more responsive and slight faster with better power.

 

Appreciate any advise on what can be done with minimum cost and estimate what is the damage.
