Coronation Plaza or Crown Centre? I thought I was the only biker in that area

I haven't seen any Valkyrie in my neighbourhood or at least on the same side of the canal with Coronotion Plaza. If there is one, I would have heard or seen it long time ago, especially when I stay about 10 minutes walk from Coronation Plaza.

Assuming It could be someone over the other side of the canal....

I was a bit amazed myself. I've seen (or know of) six Valks now. I left a note on his scooter... hope he calls me up.

PS: I live quite close... opposite side of the canal in Watten Estates... give me a holler and drop by some time.

Given that u r 10mins walk away from Coronation, I'd doubt u'd be able to hear a Valk go by anyway. I'm assuming of course that 10mins is approx 600meters away. I think u'd be hard pressed even to hear a HD with loud pipes at that distance.

Besides the Bukit Timah area is a rather big place, i'm pretty sure there's some bikes that go will go unnoticed eh? :)

Possibly. However, every house that I've passed by have cars of expensive make. I haven't seen any bikes yet.

Yeah, maybe they use their cars most of the time and the bike for leisure riding, hence making them "unnoticed" :cheeky:

I used to go around there for tuition when I was a kid. Yeah, I should drop by sometime.

But perchance, the Yellow Valk could be hailing from further afield than the Coronation area?

Possibly. I was thought of that too. The rider could be passing by there to do something. What could that be?

I don't see any reason to go to Coronation Plaza other than to NTUC FairPrice (fresher fruits than other branches) and the UOB bank. The Malay barbers are still ok and the rest of the things are standard pricing or expensive (especially the optical shops!), except for the $2 chicken rice somewhere in there. Was told by my sister that they give generous amounts of meat! For the maid agencies on the top floor, well, no comment about them. Althought I find it hard to imagine someone picking up a maid and her things on the Valkyrie! :giddy:

Does anyody know the person who rides a yellow and creme Valkyrie Standard with leather saddle bags? Saw it at the Coronation Center on Bukit Timah at 3 PM today.

Cheers.

SE,

I think i've seen the same Yellow and Cream Valk before on a couple of occasions. Once on the PIE towards Jurong and the other somewhere around Serangoon.

I heard that there's Valk owner that lives in Johor and he actually does the daily commute to Sgp. Not sure if it's the same one though.

You are right about Valks being a rare breed. Hope he contacts you soon.

The guy that lives in Johor does not have leatherbags on. I have only seen another guy on the yellow/beige and he is a caucasion guy. He did not have the bags on at that time though.

I think that's a great idea. We could have a SINGZANE!

I wonder if the LTA could supply a list of Valkyrie registrations and whether they would make it available to contact Valk owners?

You know exactly where I park!!!

Question though... I see that in most pics, folks rub out the plate numbers. Why is that?

Posted

yea actually i also want to know why they rub out the plate number. the last i heard was that if some1 wants to blackmail you, they can post this pic to the TP and they can claim that you were parking illegally or riding recklessly earlier. but come to think of it, if i don't like a particular bike or person, i'll just take a pic and give it to the TP. most probably the TP would be thinking the same if some1 were to pass a pic over like that and just throw it away..

It's your damn bike, wash it yourself! You rinse your own mouth after you eat, don't you?

Hi, I took the save side. Never know what people will do on pics once it posted in the internet. So, just tried to removed any particular information can be linked to a personal. Some people may be bit sensitive on some of information linked to them being put into th net. so its a save side.

cheers.

Sorry to bring up this old thread. I saw a yellow Valk with saddlebags in Geylang Patai last Saturday night. It doesn't have any white that I can see on it. Was pure yellow.

Was a Chinese, riding without helmet, with a child as the passenger. Not sure if it's the same person that was at Coronation Plaza that time.

First .. its Gelang Patah not Gelang Patai ..

Anyway, he works in Singapore and stays in Gelang Patah. Don't think he's the one at Coronation. You sure its pure yellow? The last time I saw was Black/Yellow.

oops, I supposed I zipped too fast to notice the spelling on the signboards. Thanks for the correction.

Well, it was definitely yellow. Could have a tinge of black somewhere on the bike that I couldn't see that night.

Gee Isaac, you seem to know the Valk community very well. :cheeky:
