wow. u are going almost the same route as me. pulsar den bandit. next bike = fazer? :p

anyway the more common steel braided brake hose should be HEL or venhill? both should be abt the same quality, but i believe HEL should be cheaper. 1 line should be $50 at most places. go to Unique thread, pm and ask them if they got stock for u or not?

disc brake, my previous bandit rear disc was starting to warp and braking on rear was jerky. i end up relying my front most of the time. if u wanna change, the cheapest way would be to go scrapyard and source for it. if u wan brand new, then can check KS motorcycle shop (at jalan besar... they are the official suzuki distributor for parts) or ebay or google for some european website or what.

changing to 2 front disc, i think should be a rather big project. surely can be done with money. but i got no prior experience, so no comments.

sprocket and chain, try to use back stock suzuki sprocket, cos from what i read in this thread previously, the front sprocket got some rubber to damp the vibration. if u use aftermarket 1, it will rattle quite noisy. that was what i heard la, i never tried it before. for chain, it's the usual X ring or O ring chain.

bandit only have gpr end can for legalise exhaust. cost around $500 if i recall correctly. techno21 changed it on his previous bandit.

brake pad got as cheap as 20+ per set to as expensive as 70-80+ per set for branded 1. just get something in the middle of the range?

and please dont save on ur tyres by getting something budget. that's the only 2 things in contact with the road. i used bridgestone, pirelli, dunlop and metezler, even thou not on bandit itself... but so far, i think bridgestone give me the best grip and feel.

Hi guys. Just got myself a Bandit. I'm thinking of changing to clip-on handle-bars, but all the aftermarket handlebars are quite expensive. Are other sportsbikes' handle-bars compatible with Bandit? Like GSXR etc.

hi banditos, anyone here know the bike history of a 400v i saw at kaki bukit shop "FT" outlook seems good, with a taped up speedo though, wondering if anyone knows the previous owner and how is the bike running cond, owner told me its a malay chap who traded in his bike, selling at 3.3k with renewed coe

bro to be frank... our bandit will look gud with aftermarket renthal bar or something... it will look more streetfighter.. but it's up to individual lah... i belief the conversion to use the gsxr can be done.. all u need is $$ and the parts. but do take note as u might need to change the whole front setup of the bike which includes the front fork and all.... hope this helps...

haha...actually im more keen on an impulse, as i have owned a bandit before, however impulse is proving very elusive. :(, so im casting wider net as im in abit of an urgent search, my bro is waiting to take over my bike.

somehow im quite against getting a super four ? just a personal oddity i guess, although it is the more logical choice..

right now my search list

1)impulse

2)XJR 400

3)bandit

4)SV 400 (but unlikely i heard parts are really really terrible to source for)

i kinda like retro old streetbikes.
