Jus curious to know how long can it last on S4, had mine since day 1, only changed my battery once since 2000 and still wondering when my rectifier is going to give up. How many times have the S4 riders changed theirs?

thats one way to test... but it usually will fail without any syptoms or warning...

unless you test it everyday... if not it may just happen to you when you least expects it...

a retifer with fin is most likely vtec ,spec 2 or spec 3 .

is much better to have fin , so tat retifer will not be spoil so easily by overheat .

Yup! totally agree.... Ver S original is without fin type.. wil cost must lesser but not lasting.

Those with fins are the Vtec ones... faster to cooldown due to the heat sink fins. More Ex but last much longer.

hope my 0.5cents worth of sharing helps. :cheeky:

the batt is better to change also as everytime ur rect charge it, it will have the memory of the full charge. so if ur rect been feeding it lesser each day, its stomach also becomes smaller...

therefore even if u change the rect to a new one... most likely is that the batt will not be able to charge up to store to the max but to the max voltage that the rect can supply... hope i am correct... I might be wrong... bros and sis, maybe u all can give some comments on this?
