Appreciate e advice Raptor.... :thumb:

tats definately a very reasonable and logical explanation.....

I did encountered tat when i was still riding my R6 back then....

and definately went thru such an experienced....

but i learnt from that....

apparently just surprised that i went thru such experince again,

even though i maintain my throttle........ :nono:

well, probably its my lining...........

or maybe, bcos it was a "uphill" (up-slope) bend ......

o_O

pls kindly advice....

There is a certain amount of centrifugal force (throwing you out from the centre of the turn or arc) which is gets greater the faster you go. Perhaps that is the force that is making the rear tyre give way.

I won't take corners fast while on public roads, reason being, the tyres are not set for high speed cornering when they are at road pressures ie 36 PSI front and 41 PSI rear. The tyre don't flex enough to generate heat and also the contact patch is small due to the tyre profile. On the track, you can feel that the tyre is hot, not warm to touch and small pebbles tend to stick to them. You do not see that happening to them when you ride on the road.

On the track, I run 30 PSI front and rear... do a few warm up laps to heat up the tyres and only start going fast into corners when the tyres are sticky.

It makes my hair stand to see guys taking corners fast on the roads... you may have the best tyres but they are not performing at their optimum best simply because the tyre pressures are wrong and the temperature is not there.

Anyway the simple rule is this as far as I am personally concerned. You can have the best horsepower, the best suspension, best braking system, PC 3, after market full exhaust system or whatever to make your bike the crotch rocket of the year... if your tyres don't hold and you still go down, it all ain't worth a sh*t.

And sadly good tyres don't last long. From August last year till last month... I was changing tyres on the CBR at the rate of one set per month and that was on Racetecs. To cut my cost and have the best tyres on when I go to the track... I sell the half worn tyres for $100 per pair coz they still have alot of centre tread left so my next tyres actually cost me $100 less.

There are ready buyers... those who want to use the tyres for transport purposes only or those who believe that a sportsbike should don tyres that are scrubbed to the edge with no chicken strips seen. They happy, I happy. heheh.

I posted some time bike where a bike mag did a test on the RR4. It was fantastic. They had a 2nd bike brought in, that bike didn't feel right somehow. It was discivered the 2nd bike was using Diablo while the 1st was using 014. They changed the 2nd bike's tires to BT after the discovery and all was well.

These are generally known as power or voltage stabilizers.

Technical read here.

http://www.ez-stab.com/technical.php

I feel like taking my RR6 to Looi's for a vanilla dyno, then perform tests on both RevTec & Power Abuser/Stimulator to see which one offers the best price to performance ratio.

Din, you tried both prods already?

Posted

I heard from Chilly the RecTec is bulky, the one offered by Kata Killer is slimmer.

Kata, any product comparisons you can share? Can sponsor one for trial?

No one here using tank bra except for CBR Mike. Dunno whether he sold off his bike or not.

Besides the slight smoothness, anything else? What about engine breaking? Lesser?

Casey's bike.

i'm tired of carrying my barang barang around on my back, looking for this tank bra and bag solution.

the revtec, it smoothens out the whole package.

throttle, engine braking, gear changing... but the throttle seems tighter, but maybe bcos i did tighten the throttle cable the day itself(done same day as when revtec installed) to remove the freeplay. hmm... i sound stupid with this statement...

i was already satisfied at how smooth my bike was, the reason i bought the revtec was bcos of it's claimed FC which was supported by many testimonials. it's not a must-have accessory. my bike's FC sucks, 15l gives me 210 at most before reserve.

more of casey. should i? should i not?

Anyone here using Poly-dunno-what car wash? The one that comes with a free cloth if you had bought the large sized bottle. Whenever I use 2 capfuls of it, my hands become dry and flaky. I suspect some EO or GT85 may have crawled ender my eroded skin, causing a rash.

Do you guys get minor cuts while washing the bike?

I've been having it over a week. Now it's so itchy I can't sleep. It flaked off, but the rash still remains, suggesting the irritant still remains.

Instead of seeing a doctor, I went to JB to buy a car shampoo with aloe vera that has a fragrant scent. Hopefully it's more gentle on my hands.

Fooking itchy till I can't sleep.

Tahsi, Your Fitch works like a charm.

My bikes accelerates smoothly as if its an electric motor

FC improved from 240 to 260 Kms before the low fuel indicator comes on.

Hey Tashi,

You better see a doctor immediately. its definately an infection.

Take care man.

Rommel, if you're happy and you know it, come and scratch me? The mileage you're getting is better than mine. The next product to try is the power stabilizer. Anything that can be carried over to a new bike is worth considering.

Din, not infection yet. Infection is when the skin turns to like black mouldy melted mozarella. Went to see doctor this morning. The rash spread to my face as well.

The lubricants on my overused sponge somehow caused the detergent not to foam up, so I used 2 capfuls instead of one. That caused the the protective layer of the skin on my hands to dry and flake. Then the minor cuts on my hands allowed more irritants to launch a full fledged assault.

Since March 30, I had an increased intake of shellfish (read protein), which is why my skin didn't heal as usual. I had used 2 capfuls of detergent before. But my hands always healed.

Doctor said, if I need to feel my bike while washing, and I don't like to use regular gloves, I can use invisible gloves.
