 Who is ronald?

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that!"

Hi all

Still surviving, my protective gears saved me, I got no scratches except my left knee, but as I hit my right side of my helmet when I fly up for a short while, I am still feeling dizzy now, sleeping a lot.

The bike was totally smashed from the look of it, just confirm with the motordiam, that it is unrideable for at least a while. Just when I am looking forward towards the MotoGp trip.

The Taxi came in from the slip road at Killiney Road towards Somerset Road and cut 3 lanes without looking, I was on the 2nd lane at Penang Road so I try to move to the 3rd lane but unsuccessful so hit him from the side.

Sep 02 to Oct 02- Black Cagiva Planet (1 word Lousy)

Hi all

Thanks for all the concern, I think I need to say this but if you saw the damage on my bike's fairings, you must be wondering how I got only a scratch on my left knee and a bad headache even though I fly up and landed on my right side. It was because of my mesh jacket which was not even damaged at all and also my Arai Helmet. I know it looks stupid to be wearing a jacket in Singapore's weather. When u saw the damage on my bike and wondering how I have virtually no scars, it was because of the jacket. Pls do considered a mesh jacket with a portable small fan. It is really very cooling and accident proven. :cheeky:

The taxi driver still got the cheek to scold me, really disappointing. :huohuo:

Do you have a witness? Will you be able to make it for the MotoGP trip still?

Based on what rationale does the taxi driver got the right to scold u?

So are u trying to claim his insurance?

Speedy recovery!

What brand is your jacket? Mine is Komine Nylon mesh type with spine , elbow and shoulder armor. Maybe I should switch to your brand.

I also wear strap on armour for my legs. It protects my knee & shin only. My shoes also semi high cut ,steel cap safety shoes. I think the shoe is terribly important during accidents.

I am very interested in the cooling fan for the mesh jacket. You improvised yourself or buy ready made from where?

Wish you speedy recovery also, take care.

All taxi drivers are like that... they will put on an act to make it look like its your fault. The other tactic is to claim that you are drunk or DUI, so the police will come to the hospital and look for you to draw a sample of your blood to determine if you are DUI or not.

The last accident I had which landed me in hospital was because of an inconsiderate taxi driver who made a turn into my lane causing me to impact the left front side of the taxi and sending me flying over the front.

Got me a 10 cm long and 3 cm deep cut on my right thigh. And while waiting to be warded... the police come to me and say that I have been accused of drink driving by the taxi driver.

In the end is... TP summoned the taxidriver for inconsiderate driving and forwarded a copy for my information. I took that letter from the TP and went to see the insurance company which was NTUC Income.

When they saw the TP letter, all my repair claims against the taxidriver were reimbursed immediately and they even compensated for my cut on the thigh.

Hi all

Ya, I got a witness, a fellow biker who was riding behind me, of course I will claim against the NTUC comfort Taxi driver.

The fan was not in use at the point of time as it was evening so it was in my bag which was not damaged. It was just a portable fan that I bought from Marks and Spencer.

Now waiting for surveyors report before I fork out money myself first to pay for the repairs in order to go for the Motogp trip but don't know whether the parts are available before the trip. Went to Idac to make the report already yesterday. Praying now got available parts.

I got 3 mesh jacket, the one I am wearing is an old model 2004 Spidi Netline Mesh Jacket, this is by far the most comfortable and cooling jacket that I have and now the most accident proven one.

I also noticed that my riding boots got deep gashes, if not for this boots, I think I would have a terrible scars on both my foots.

Ya, this was the 2nd NTUC comfort taxi driver who hit me with his inconsiderate driving, the last one was in April 2005, he tried to pay me only SGD50 then when I refuses, he claim it was all my fault although he was the one who cut in without looking. I successfully claim against him for full repairs and token sum for personal injury.

I think it was also because I was fat, so when I fly up, I landed straight down without sliding at all hence preventing further damage.

Ur got a willing witness who saw everything, that's very gd for u.

Ur not fat laah...only chubby  So being chubby has it advantages at all coz ur impact is soften by ur 'chubbiness' instead of hitting the bones directly ! :cheeky: J/K bro. Wishing ur well fast.
