Hehe... That was an old show rite? The one where they demostrated, throwing the Honda Cub down a 2 storey building, then a rider picks the bike up, starts & go..

Yeah. They even drained the EO from the cub and put used cooking oil. The indestructible cub.

Appreciate all your kind reviews, suggestions and feedback..

but ..... :giddy:

need to get a set of tyres soon..

mines already damaged!

as the tyres are already out of shape...!

Get 015 good enough. Are they out already?

Speedway tires are very cheap. Pilot Power can go for below $400, at Mah, it goes for $510-ish.

Check with LD, he had it installed. Year end he gets very busy.

Cool, I rem seeing his voltmeter during the KL trip. I'm looking for a digital voltmeter though. Maybe I'll PM him and find out more...

Anyone else has a voltmeter fixed?

Btw, you got anymore oil? I'm thinking of getting the slightly thicker version coz my bike's engine sounds very metallic using this current oil...

Hey Guys,...

i found out of a good brand of oil from europe, that offers full syn 10W60.

i forgot the brand name... but it costs about SGP$18 per litre (1 bottle)

the ratings kinda attract my attention.. so im gg to give e oil a try and will post my feedback...

currently im using maxima 5W50, which feels good.

and previously i was using maxima 15W50.

JB, in case you missed this post from LD, it was meant for you.

Happy New Year to all!!

JB - I bought and installed the volt meter at Motoworld, price can't remember. And get a digital 1. When going 140++ the readings will go haywire for my analog 1. I really recommend all RR riders to at least get the volt meter. At least you'll know when your coil is gonna go.

I only have 1 bottle left, that one is reserved for Ken. However, he hasn't collected from me. If you see him, let him know. I wonder what he's been up to.

Din / JB, I find the Blade runs better on thinner oil. But you guys can try a thicker oil, you may like it better. 10W60 sounds very thick. The engine runs hotter, and doesn't feel as lively. Modern engines these days have tight clearance. Thinner oil is better. JB, Motul is quite smooth, Chiily swears by it. You may want to try. If you're riding to KL, 5 min from my place, can change Motul for S$15 per bottle or so. The last trip, Chilly and Ronald changed their engine oil there. But oil filter cost more in KL.

Din, Speedway is at Bt Batok. The last time I checked, 015 is not available yet. Let me check with the Bridgestone Distribtor's son.

Pls note that the service is good, very patient but there will be a service charge of RM25 as per above. I think I paid RM75 for the oil filter darn expensive but Malaysia big bike's parts are really expensive so what to do.

I thought Rommel got BT015 for his tyre change or I remember wrongly.

Ya Discovery channel is showing all the old shows recently, I love the MS13 show, darn interesting. The cub is really good. Worthy of No 1 bike status.

Sep 02 to Oct 02- Black Cagiva Planet (1 word Lousy)

Oct 02 to Oct 03- Yellow RXZ133 (Too light for me)

Oct 03 to Mar 05- White Purple CBR 400RR (Not enough style & power)

Mar 05 to Dec 06- Red CBR 1000RR (Wonderful except the magnetic coil issue)

Dec 06- Dec 07- Black VFR 800 (Good bike but not my style, thks for the memories)

Dec 07- Black GSX1000K8 (Nothing else to say except Damn good)

Wow Raptor, I thought you were sent there to sweat blood and tears. Looks like the government is spending taxpayers’ money to give you a nice long vacation. LOL. You’re really enjoying life there.

Keep those pix coming.

Rommel is using Metzler. I wonder when he’s coming back.

I thought some exotic sports bike like the MV Agusta would grab the top spot. When they showed Honda Cub, it was so funny.

Hi evryone..My fiance and i just got our CBR1000 2006 yesterday from Mah pte..Plate FBB1920*..Hopefully by joining this forum,we would be able to gather more info and knowledge on the maintenance of our bike..So any advice or pointers are welcomed..!!

First up we would like to ask is about the tyres..I meant the stock ones..Are they slippery when its raining? What can we do to fix this apart from changing the tyres? I got an info from a fellow SBF member to go tune our suspension..Is it true? And if we were to change tyres, what brands would be recommended?

Secondly is it recommendable to fix on "Sliders"..?? How does it work actually? Any good ones in the market currently??

Thanks soo much guys..Looking forward to your replies..

P.S : Pics of our "baby" will be uploaded soon.. :cheer:

For SALE..Powerbronze Carbon Fibre with Silver Mesh Hugger for CBR1000 04-06..Ventura Clear Headlight Protector for r1 2007....Kindly PM...!!!

Ladyvamp, the 1st thing when your fiance gets the bike is not to sit on it. Otherwise the plastics under the rider seat will get scratched. Get some foam tapes and tape up the staples under the seat.

I should get going, otherwise I'll be late.

Wow, so fast out already. Maybe it's the Motorshow model. There's a Repsol color for 07 as well.

Rommel, tomorrow won't be joining you for Mersing, weather a bit unpredictable these days.
