That's why he poo poo at the pond, eat outside, cannot poo poo at home, heh, kidding guys.

Here're more pix of the J-garden.

Lass, underbelly exhaust has been the rumours, but it won't be something as fat as the Hornet's one.

Read from another forum that those who tested the 08 Blade at the tracks said it's VERY good. Can't wait till end of Sep to see it.

MotoGP in Sepang is 21 Oct, not sometime in Sep as we had thought last night guys.

Yet more pix. Rommel modeling his Fieldsheer 2007 collection. Tip for anyone who wants to buy a Fieldsheer jacket off the net, the sizing charts on the site is accurate, no need to compensate by adding a size up or down.

Can't imagine if I were to get another Blade, it would be 4 Blades in a row since the 03 954.

These pictures are taken in Cameron. Nice cool weather, imagine stopping at the road side, catching the fresh cool air, taking a few smokes, goofing around and then ride some more, ahhh, that's the life, Oct is too long a wait to go up again/

Start applying your leave for 19 Oct 2007 guys. You've been a model employee, a good boss, an understanding bf/husband, a responsible father, a filial son all year round. This is the time of the year when they have to understand us, we need to go out and ride, it's the time of the year when you all come out of the closet and become gay boys again, and share beds with your fellow riders, haha.

Just back from BS. No signs of weak cranking from my bike for past few days or weeks. This morning just unable start bike and only 2 weak cranking sound when I try to start. Cannot even push start bike. No choice got to call tow service. Thanks Tashi for the number.

In the end I paid $400 for the fly-wheel and alternator + service charge, although mine is a BS bike. No warranty for 2006 and 2007 models.

Don't know what Honda Japan is thinking. Only recall for 2004-2005 models, which can be replaced FOC. Then problem still happens in later models. Becareful for those who considering 2008 model. Maybe Honda want to make $ out of us.

Tashi, how to make a complaint to Honda Japan about 2006 blades? So that they can recall 06 and 07 models as well. BS can only give 6 mths warranty for coil replaced out of my own $ pockets. How can coil spoil within 6 mths only? And the coil they replaced for mine is not those using for the recall coils. Meaning mine is just an ordinary 2006 model coil, which will burnt again in don't know how many kms. This is super sianz.

Write to this guy and complain.

[email protected]

So far mine no issues after changing the coil & flywheel. I am thinking the stock coil for 06 models still has the issue, Honda Japan must know this and probably thought it should burn within 1 yr, so 06 models will be covered by warranty, unfortunately for you, it took more than a yr.

You should go touring more often, try and burn it within 6 months, then when the new coils stock up in inventory, change to the new one.

So far my coil has gone 19,000km, physically inspected 2 or 3 times, no problems. From time to time I get caught up in jam, the temperature does go up pretty high.

New Blackbird for 2008?

New in 2008?

To CBR1100XX the Blackbird, because ham question remained of course for which these technological renewals test on the Blackbird if you have have equipped already VFR in your range that - partially - with this technique. "Because we are testing the new Blackbird engine," this way could communicate manager to the Honda R&D our. Ahum, there sit arrive therefore new Blackbird? Realising too much from the school to have applauded itself gets we as a response the well-known "I cannot comment on that " to hear. Also the question if, as for a long time in the rumour circuit circulates Honda 990cc V5 the engine block-system of RCV211 the MotoGP racer for the new Blackbird will use was scrupulously avoided, but considering one with vier-in-lijn the engine block-system (that in a vitrine stood established) for testing is this seems improbable.

Had wrote a letter to the guy you mentioned. Hopefully he will read it and do something. If not, don't ever think of upgrading to 2008 model.

This is my letter:

Hi,

I had been a fan of Honda bikes and had been owning only Honda motocycles since I started biking in early 1996. At year 2006, I had been thinking twice that I should own a CBR1000RR as I knew that 2004 & 2005 models had the issue of burnt coil & flywheel problem. I like the outlook of CBR1000RR and the motogp style technology incorporated. On top of that, my bike dealer said that the newer 2006 model had been greatly improved and would not have the problem of coil & flywheel as Honda Japan would had already solved it. It had been a great bike since 15th May 2006. I had seen that Honda Japan had made a great effort by issuing a worldwide recall for 2004 and 2005 models of CBR1000RR, to resolve the problem of burnt coil & flywheel and enforced with a further 7 years of warranty, giving more confidence of CBR1000RR owners.

I would like to make a complaint to Honda Japan about CBR1000RR6 Fireblade coil & flywheel problem. My concern is that I personally owned a CBR1000RR 2006 model from Boon Siew (Singapore Honda), which cost $1000 more than those parallel import CBR1000RR. I had my coil burnt on 15th July 2007, which my 1 year warranty had expired. When I was going to work in the morning, my bike could not start at all. Only 2 weak cranks was heard and battery was still strong. It was working totally fine the night before. No signs of weak cranks was noticed over the past few days/weeks. I need to call for a tow service to tow my bike to Boon Siew for a check-up. They confirmed that it was the coil & flywheel problem, which the earlier models had faced. I was extremely shocked to hear that Boon Siew wanted me to pay for the coil & flywheel and it cost me a total of $400 after discount. I had to spent my whole day at Boon Siew waiting for the mechanics to change the coil & flywheel. I was forced to be on annual leave. They said that the coil & flywheel they had changed for me is for CBR1000RR 2006 model, which means that I was not even qualified for the newer coil & flywheel Honda Japan had manufactured to solve the 2004 & 2005 CBR1000RR problem. I would said the coil & flywheel will be burnt again as it was not the improved version installed. Although Boon Siew gave me a 6 months warranty for the coil & flywheel, I asked for a 1 year warranty but was rejected.

How can a coil & flywheel be burnt just within 6 months of riding? Why Honda Japan can give 7 years extended warranty for 2004 & 2005 models and yet 2006 model was overlooked totally. This is really discouraging me to own a new 2006 model as I was not given the same treatment for the earlier models. I'm not the only 2006 model owner who had this problem; a few of my friends riding the same model faced the same issue as well. That's why some of them changed their rides. I was disappointed with this issue and Boon Siew is not able to provide a permanent solution. I loved my current bike very much and had spent a fortune. In the end, I had to pay for the coil & flywheel, plus the labour charges Boon Siew had billed to me, which do not come cheap. I strongly gestured that Honda Japan should include CBR1000RR6 model in the recall as well.

Please help to investigate and retify this known problem. I would really appreciate that if Honda Japan can solve the coil & flywheel problem once and for all for CBR1000RR 2006 models. It would be a better bike to ride on, and the journey would be much more enjoyable. If you would require more information/feedbacks, you can always contact me at +65 98502869.

Regards,

Kelvin (Singapore)

Their working attitude is always slow. But think u got a choice? And I noticed majority are all senior workers. movement slow, time for tea-break just go. Everything put one side. Seems like everyone got working attitude and take their own sweet time. They like to rev my bike after starting it and seems enjoying revving the throttle and listen to my bike roar. I can say I never rev my bike immediately after starting it before.

saufi: what's ur riding style that contributed to the coil to be burnt within 4mths? Always in slow and tight traffic and bike runs hot all the time? Or always in highway, bike runs fast and cooler?

I think the riding style plays a part in contributing to the frying of the coil.

I would see that any speed above 100km/hr will keep the bike cool.

my temp can be as high as 110 and normally at 86.

Standard Honda OEM dry cell battery should last about 1.5yrs to 2yrs as claim by the BS mechanics.

My temp never go above 106. Use this as a benchmark, when gointo GP Esso on Sat night, at the bridge, how low does your temp go? Mine goes to as low as 73dc. This is on stock coolant.
