Those scholars in the ivory towers have the impressions tat bikes r still in the smokey smelly age . So they dun wan too much of it on the rds . N i believe they dun wan a mini vietnam or thailand kind of rd scenario here .

To them , onli the poor rides bike .

N oso their impression of bikers is tat of trouble makers , noise polluters n rempits who form the biggest part of the so called accident rates .

When I had delegates coming from the overseas, they all want to get on my bike. One was as big as Shaq, he kept hinting to me every time he was with me that he wants to me to pillion him. He was so disappointed I told him I cannot pillion him because of his size. Then during dinner, a secretary (typical snob) made a comment, "I told my daughter that she should never go out with a guy who rides bikes."

I was like, "knn, this woman must really kena bukkake ... from horses."

It is true, what comes to mind are the 3 colors of roads, the black, the grey and the light brown. I like the light brown colored roads on the hwy, although they are bumpier, but I feel I am getting the most traction, even in the rain. The new ones are what I call the black ones, smooth like fine grains.

What made it worst was the Michelin Pilot Power I had, worst tires I had on my Blade. I have the Diablo Corsa 3 now, surprisingly grippy even when brand new, but requires more effort when turning in. I still prefer BT015. Would love to try the new BT016 too.

Mark is organizing a Mersing ride this Sunday, meeting at GP Esso at 7am, there are over 10 bikes now with no less than 5 different races of people. Come join if anyone is interested.

yeah the black ones are freaking slippery when in heavy downpour!

the one at Gua Tempurung stretch, before and after the Menora Tunnel

got to be extra careful riding in the rain,

the rear tyre will be dancing effortleesly if u use too much brakes

Nice mountain view here but look straight ahead here

u gonna be entering into some wicked twisties

nice when dry but hell when wet

Always nice to rev it in here to hear yr end can play music

dont open throttle til the end of tunnel because ull be greeted by more twisties ahead

Beautiful roads there.

In other news ...

In honour of the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade sport bike, Honda Italy has announced a limited edition Civic Type S.

Distinguished externally by redesigned front and rear bumper fascias, losing their chicken wire mesh grille look in favor of air vents and diffuser like bottom, respectively.

Additionally, graphite color coded components include mirrors housings, fuel lid cover, door handles and stylish 18-inch wheels plus Fireblade emblems.

Available in Black, Red and Silver, the Civic Type S Fireblade Replica comes with the 140hp 2.2-liter i-CTDi diesel engine with 6-speed manual transmission at a price of €25,190 in Italy.

It seems the RR6 & RR7 will be the last Blades to have undertail exhaust for a long time, I guess it'll be a keeper. Unless the 09 R1 proves to be too tempting.

http://hellforleathermagazine.com/images/2009_Yamaha_R1_big_bang.jpg

French motorcycle magazine MotoRevue commissioned this image to show what it thinks the 2009 Yamaha R1 will look like, also reporting that factory sources have revealed the bike may use an M1-style big bang engine. While we don’t think Yamaha will alter the R1 brand's look to such a radical degree, this illustration does highlight the M1-influence that is allegedly making its way into the new machine.

If the rumored big-bang engine does reach production, it could be a genuine game changer for the liter bike class, offering the X-factor the new R1 desperately needs if it’s to regain performance superiority over bikes like the 2008 Honda CBR1000RR and 2009 Suzuki GSX-R 1000. It could also be the M1-influence Randy Mamola mentioned.

Currently employed by Yamaha in MotoGP, big bang engines combine the power of an inline-four with the traction of a v-twin. Essentially, the cylinders are fired two-by-two, spacing out the power pulses, allowing the rear tire time to regain traction between them. Such a development could be a major boon to a road bike, making its immense power easier, safer and more controllable. However, the huge pulses of power put a large amount of stress on an engine's components; not a problem in MotoGP, where the engines receive frequent rebuilds, but a potential issue in any road bike. Yamaha is rumored to have developed a 1-2-1-cylinder big bang engine for British Superbike in which an individual cylinder was fired in advance of the large power pulse, “priming” the crank shaft for the arrival of huge stresses. Should a big bang engine reach production, it could employ this arrangement.

The 1st time when I thought motorbikes were cool was when I 1st saw the lightcycles in Tron for the very 1st time. If you are as old as me, you would've watched it too.

Disney will be bringing Tron back in 2011.

This preview of Tron 2 has been taken down many times due to copyright issues, but someone keeps posting it back up. Hurry watch it before it's too late.

Here's a pic of the 600RR9. Design cues from the 1000RR8. The sharper nose looks better. The 1000RR8 shoud be designed like that.

1000RR8 Recall

Honda proceeded to a recall of certain 1000 CBR RR for the replacement of the clamp of the hose to pump out water.

The manufacturer states that "the necklace may eventually break fatigue resulting in a leakage of coolant. Coolant spraying then burning the foot of the driver causing a burn."

Period manufacturing / Serial No. Affected:

Model Year 2008
