hello people. i rode my friend's R1 and the engine brake is really very powerful compare to my rr8. Is is normal for rr8 engine brake that is not so "EAT"? and RR8 rear brake also not "eat" 1 hor. is it normal?

cbr 08 engine brake not so "eat" is most probably bcoz of its slipper clutch which enables riders to be able to throttle faster n more, n being more stable when taking corners n exiting...

 

rear brake not so "eat" 1 is normal coz the power of the bike so strong..

u try go change brake pads/ bleed the brakes will make it better.. but seriously,

the front is good enuff to stop ur bike... in cases of jamming ur rear brakes might juz fling u off ur bike while fishtailing/wheel-locking..

most of class 2 sportbikes brake never 'eat' one... if you want to have a better feel change to after market discs like Braking or Galfer or Brembo..for front one OEM is good enough

not really nvr eat...usually its just the rear tat nvr eat...

could be due to sportbikes characteristics where the front is used alot more than the rear...

normally the front is due to the levers...

cheap nisin levers...after changing to brembo...even R1 oem brembo also will improve the braking...

Anyone can tell me the normal temp for your rr8? beside a R1, mine are even hotter. at night cruising about 80-85. At traffic light can hit 108.

think i will keep that slider! coz after i put my friends told me that the slider will break your swing arm if u fall. and it is only useful for putting main stand boohoo. my clutch is leaking oil! got to change the oil shield. anyone know roughly how much is that?
