jus noticed this thread. recently bought my a bike, finally aft all these yrs cause when youth tht time no spending power, now working liao got now money to buy something tht's slightly better.

i find giant prices quite high leh.

 

GT prices not bad.

 

have u considered kona? i'm using one, i find it quite gd but online also got bad comments abt it

 

u might wanna consider 2nd hand also. sometimes can get a buy. i bought mine only 1 week old only. shop selling 1k+, i paid 700+ for it

Just bought this, $1,250 all in, Montague/Swissbike, first used by Marines on the field, now production bike on the market. Self import, can stash under your workdesk at work. I cycle to work nowadays, so therapeutic, no more jams.

Shimano 27speed, forgot what range. Its a practical all-rounder bike for me, i commute pavement and dont go off-road. So it should lasts with minimum maintenance on my part. Rides shiok, good firm front suspension, seat is comfy for me, could add that full-suspension feel if you change your seat post to those springy kind. This is my 2nd most expensive bicycle purchase. 10yrs back, bought a Cannodale racer, frame alone costs $1,800!!! Nowadays, dont spend so much on bikes liao.

You can join JoyRiders every Saturday morning. Meetup is at the old East Coast BigSplash Carls Junior Burger @ 630am. They will usually assign someone to you if you're new to cycling. Most of them are on racing bikes but i've seen some on mountain bikes. The average speed is from 25km onwards. Basically 2 groups, beginners and the fast group.

Im sellin moi HASA comp 1.0 airlite alum MTB.. thinkin to get others bike

 

Also selling a GT aggressor gd stock parts @ $380 only.

GT wise, small dep is reQ as its moi fren bike.

 

Btw, im also keen on nite/evening out cycling ...
