Okay i'm having a very big headache now because of my bike. I'm riding a spark and i don't know what's wrong with some part of the circuits of my bike. I can't use my horn when i switch on the bike, but when i start to move, i can use it but it's still very soft. It's not like that when i first bought it so i thought it's just the horn. I switch back to the standard horn and it's still the same problem. So can someone help me? Is it the coil or the rectifier? I know hondas have a well known history of their circuits and electronic stuff(sorry honda fans) but i didn't expect this to happen for a yamaha. And it's only a 1 yr old bike :(

Thanks guys. Every little bit of info will be appreciated :)

from what i see, it's battery problem.. u try revving it for awhile and horn does it sounds louder? change your battery will roughly solve everything unless your rectifier is spoil as well as it dosent provides charging when u're riding ur bike..

bring it to a mech to check it out mans.. =)

my view: battery or rectifier.. or did u install any wiring stuffs tat u link ur horn wiring wrongly? =)

Now i using back the standard horn. Uh i just charge my battery.

hmm seems like high chance ur rectifier might be the one... but alternatively.. u can re-check ur horn wiring also.. might be loose or rusty or the wiring not connect properly.. =)

use a voltmeter and measure the voltage when engine is off and when engine is on

then let us know

check for fuses.

There's only one fuse right? It's working fine, checked that time. Unless there's other fuses i don't know of

i think you have a leakage problem. The fact that the horn can work but soft..lights can work?? but dimm??.. check for frayed wiring along the circuitry.., at connections to horn/lighting fixture/equipment make sure no stray wires exposed especially the red wire(+) does not leak/touch the chasis of your bike..

Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience every time:dot:

i think the horn wiring should be the problem. My fren had this problem when he used air horns too and his switch melted and now his horn also like sometimes have sometimes don have one....
