2. If put a box, will it lose the retro look?

1. There are 5 LED bars to indicate the petrol left. Roughly how far in km is each bar? (For example, first bar is 70 km, second bar is 120 km, etc)

 

2. Is it normal that the last LED bar is blinking but can only top up 9l? (Given that the petrol capacity is 15l.)

 

3. How far ahead is the headlight supposed to illuminate? Is 3-5 meters alright?

 

4. And most important, which raincoat can fit into the tiny compartment?

a1: Iu can get from any bike shop. New cost about $150, 2nd hand cost about $70

can try ah boy.

 

a2: Dun think it look good with a box.

a1: i think my 1st bar is around 100km.btw my last start blinking around 160-170km.

a2: abit dun understand this Q. i mean you can top up any L if you want. Do you mean after top up 9l, the LED stil blinking?

a3: never think of this before

a4: too bad i try before quite a few but all cannot fit in.

No, I mean, where's a good place to put it on the bike. Left mirror doesn't look that good. Center seems to require a long and ugly bracket that goes over the speedometer. (I've seen a Super4 bracket that attaches to behind the speedometer, but I can't find such a screw on the CB400F.)

When the last bar blink, I thought there's very little petrol left, but I can only top up 9+ litres.

 

After calculating the FC, I decided I can go 330 - 350 km before refueling. (And I need to top up 13+ litres.)

Mine is too little. I've adjusted it so that it illuminates further.

You mean your bike can go up to 330-350km with only top up 13+ L. Mine when reach 330km have to top almost 15L

Everytime i push abit then lube abit, Need sometime to done

Depends on your riding style mah.

 

The CB400F brochure (can be googled) stated that riding at 60 km/h gives 34.7 km/l! That's the upper limit, of course, but it shows that the bike can be fuel efficient too.

 

As for me, I'm riding very slowly, hence I can get 25 km/l. The difference is the start-stop traffic.

 

I was very worried when I tried it. I estimated I could go ~340 km (25 km/l x 13.5 litres; I used 13.5 instead of 15 for some margin). My heart was beating all the time after clocking 300 km!
