anyone can recommend a commendable bike shop in the west area that services metric cruisers?

Of course I trust my skills. I ride alone cos I don't trust the competency of the driver next to me.

Hi guys. About to get a 1997 Honda Shadow ACE 400. Waiting for the shop to complete their paperwork.

In the meantime, anyone have any working condition CDI, speedometer, sissy bar with backrest, squarish crashbar available?

Please reach me at, nine one eight zero six five three five.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone changed the Shadow ACE 400 speedometer to those analog mileage types?

See you guys soon. Thanks.

Wow. That's excellent. What type of meter did you use? Mounted on handlebars or original speedometer position?

My speedometer is not working and the odometer faded. Still brainstorming how to resolve this issue though i would very much prefer a analog mileage meter.

mounted on handlebar. i used a steed one. remove the electronic module at the speedo mount at front wheel.

Ori speedo is $280 or you can restore at the ah pek shop with erp repair signboard a few shops down from 219 sticker shop. Price abt $100. good luck

Nice. I had actually already done the analog speedometer with the steed one. As had you had did before.

Now, have to think of a way to fill the space of the original speedometer position. Thinking of some voltmeter, maybe add on something else.

Guys, has anyone done a side and rear H&B junior racks? Understand that Seng Kwang does that. Anyone able to share photos on this, without any boxes? Trying to observe where the mounting points and support structures are at.

Wow. $500?! Does that price includes worksmanship/labor? That's steep. Well, that's to expect from Honda original parts.

Regarding my choked radiator, i'm waiting for my order to arrive. Had ordered a china one, less than one quarter of the price. Hope it works fine, as the one on my CBR1100XX. Fingers crossed.

Recently, while working on my old Shadow myself, i had a surprising discovery. The airbox intake, inner passageway, had been blocked by 2 big black hard rubber blocks, held on by 2 wood screws. My airbox intake volume had been blocked by 50%, all this time. Removed them. Need to do my carburetor tuning again. Fitted new throttle cables and look-a-like KURYAKYN black ISO grips with throttle boss. Repaired my horns. Repaired the coolant cross over tube seals. Will look into changing the current old fuel pump into a solid state one, to improve reliability.

Speaking of carburetors, one of my air/fuel ratio adjustment screws, is damaged, when i bought it. Anyone has a spare to sell me or knows of where to get one? Had looked online, couldn't find any carburetor repair kits for our VT400. Also looking for any 2nd hand original exhaust, fully working one, outlook not important.

Anyone knows, if any shop, for our Shadow, brings in rear tyres in the size of 160 instead of 170? Hoping to reduce rear wheel mass, even if it's just a little. Is there any way to slightly increase the rear suspension height or length of the suspension? Aftermarket rear shocks or suspension brackets? Trying to increase the front weight bias, just a little.

Hi everyone. I am a shadow 400 rider. Firstly i wanna ask, Does your fuel pump have the constant tick tick sound ? During cold start it ticks very fast after a night of fuel off. After warm up the tick gets softer and not so loud.

Is it normal ?

And also im looking for crash bar. Seng Kwang AMK has quoted me before i find very exp
