i do wonder why does G-D lead me to join moto-v 1st ... then LR

when i bought my BIG bike in 2007 ... the 1st riding group i join is moto-v.
when i always remember the warm and care.
the religion there is bike as all of them comes from diff religious background.
love is there and everyone do care for one another, in spite of difference.

the leader of moto-v is warm and made everyone feel at home
he earn my respect and most of the members respect him as he shows genuine care and concern.

only this year, i met Alan (the leader of moto-v) in my church ... then i realised that we are attending the same church

no wonder ... HE lead me to moto-v first

juz like jesus who do not concern himself with evangelism and number growth ... his ministry exploded.

like my church who do not stress evangelism and number growth ... it is fast growing to be the largest independent church in S'pore.

food for thought:

how to lift up Jesus ? ... one may ask ?
it is to have the correct opinion of HIM

it is to sit under anointed preachers that teaches the gospel in all its pure truth and unadulterated fullness

may G-D bless you in your spiritual journey of discovering what the true gospel is.

like a CHURCH is open to the worst of sinners ... i find it ironical that a Christain biker group ... is selective towards who is welcome

hmm ther wer occasions when some conflicts get resolved...eg havin spilt off into 2 threads at least keep tis fellowship thread away from more controversy....
without a leader.... ppl wil keep having conflicts..who wil help settle??

but then again..no point having a leader if there is no group...

for ppl who creates conflicts... well... i can oni say ..ultimately... it wil oni lead to breakup of d group...

sometimes i reali dun understand d pyshcology behind.. y ther r ppl create issues... isnt it wonderful if we can jus ride together...makan.. outings ..enjoi each others companies...life is so short on earth... even if u dun think other ppl is rite... isit so difficult to tolerate one another? y so many ego? y so many ppl who think oni their doctrine is rite and intolerable to others.... its jus so weird...

remember in school..when we wer young..among frens...though ther r fights..we always make up... but now.. sigh... ppl r stil simmering...n stil obstinately holdin on to their own views...

perhaps bikers r reali individuals n cant b group... dats y our bikes oni got 2 seats...1 for rider and d pillion seat is for his/her pride ...

but i reali do enjoi d company... i still miss d veri first ...or one of d first ride ..to eagle ranch.... i reali enjoy d company of spidey, joe, johan, fooz, ewhole list of LR....

well, all i can say is "if it was only so easy"

again another cheap short at pacifism , the LR is not ready , harmony is a nice word , the reason you cannot defend harmony because the we doesn't have the knowledge , experience and will to create and defend it.

even some of the ppl who norminate you thinks it's a good idea for you to step down and want joe to take over and it's less than a year. and they do it out of convenience sake. (bloody ar5e hole)

for goodness sake just attend any 1 church, get thoughly brainwash so you know what to belief, i suggest you to go light house.

sad to say it just make us look like a bunch of blue hosefly going around professing love and does not know what is love.

unless you buck yourself with these bunch of hippos the LR will fail

because we are not true to ourselfs.

I am still waiting for the group to present a coherent effort to solve conflict as what Jake says "they will arise"

so far except for Tim , it just depicts LR is a bunch of poser playing at christianity.

allow me to sound out a little bit.

as you all know, Jesus came for the sick, pple who needs help. He didn't came for those who were already gd.

so to me, churches are actually full of pple who are sick, needs help (IMO weirdos), so WJDD?

now when you group this group with another group of weirdos (bikers), u'll unfortunately get weirder.

so since knowing that this group is already imperfect (as of all other humans), we should know that these things are bond to happen and so how are we going to deal about it? WWJD again?

hahaha, i hope no one would have the idea that we should start turn 5 loaves and 2 fishes after i mention WWJD

@MC: bro, there's something i dnt agree w/ your view of how a leader should be. It doesn't mean that going to church and having gd knowledge of the Bible makes a person a suitable choice to be a leader. I'm sure you have came across christian leaders who sucks in character.

here r 2 cases:

1) worship team director. was told that he doesn't play as a band and lack of team work, his reply? "I'm the worship director, u all should follow what i play", the pastor kick him out immed.

2) church pastor. this was told to me. the pastor told his chruch pple "I'm God's servant, so you all should serve me". his "career" went down hill immed.

What i'm saying with those 2 cases i that these 2 guys got gd knowledge but character sucks and they come crushing soon after.

A leader needs to have gd leadership skills and character. these are harder to learn than the Bible knowledge he/she needs to have.

BTW, about those pics you post up. do consider other's feelings also. i know you are trying to proof a point but there are pple who just feels uncomfortable viewing them, no that because they are pretending to be goodie 2 shoes christian and not like it but some jus feel awakard looking at them (ie the ladies might find it offensive), i see liao also feel

What do you wish to see in LR

If i were to be ask on this qn , my answer would be....

1) I want to share my passion of riding with my christian brothers and sisters.

2) No more bible study as this usually leads to arguments with no conclusion and the other person also not convinced.......duhhhh!

Exit 214 Nilai Utara @284km

into E6 highway (look for Ipoh and KLIA indicated)

E6 consists of Dengkil, KLIA... Sungei Buloh (E6 is about 45km)

Continue to look for Ipoh sign to go into E1 460km mark

E1 North South Highway

Rawang 440km**

Tg Malim 396km

Tapah 331km

Sungei Perak 249km

Gunung Semanggol 194km

Pinang 161km (not stopping but after pinang, padi field start)

Went to VICOM to inspect a bike, saw a Harley being hauled in by a LTA patrol bike, asked to line up to get his bike inspected. Harley rider was in his club colours, looked very indignant. After my inspection I spoke with the bike inspector who inspected my bike:

ME: Do you get this a lot?

INSP: Very common one, this type

ME: This one how? Can pass or not?

INSP: This one confirm liao, come in that time already so loud.

ME: What is the punishment?

INSP: $500 first time, next time $1,000. Dunno why these riders spend money so they can kena spend more money to give garment.

ME: What bike most common?

INSP: RXZ and Harleys.

ME: So you want to pass him also cannot ah?

INSP: Inspection not me, I can only do road tax. Need special inspector one.

ME: (in my mind) confirm liao liao.

I think be careful, guys, the work goes on for the LTA.

I think you got this dialogue from a BMW thread. I read it earlier 'cos someone else also post it up.

The new owner of my ex-bike changed the pipes to stock, so I don't have to worry about him. Kester's working in Phuket, so he doesn't have to worry about LTA catching him over there haha....

I don't think it's your leadership. Just that currently it's a season where the membership declines. It'll grow back soon. Keep praying.

I experienced that during my time with Overseas Christian Fellowship when I was in Brisbane. The membership fluctuates to the extend every year we were praying for either more guys or more gals. Then soon there was a balance and when I graduated, the balance was still maintained. I obviously didn't have much to do about it except for praying, so do that. If I didn't go to HK, I'll give support. Right now I can only support in Spirit and in clocking post.

thats what i am saying bro. But if LR aim is to reach out to the unchurch , we will lose the initial idea that it is to be a fellowship.

I rather see that reaching out to the unchurch would be the fruits born out of the fellowship.

So instead of going back to your own church for BS and support the mission work there, we create our own and form another church? This is what i am saying.

So my wish is that LR be a pure fellowship of christian riders.
