$3 Million Lottery Win Donated to Church

PORT JEFFERSON, N.Y. (Aug. 28) - A New York pastor says one of his congregants donated a winning lottery ticket worth $3 million to his church.

Pastor Bertrand Crabbe of the True North Community Church in Port Jefferson says the donor, who asked to remain anonymous, donated the "Ba Da Bling" scratch-off ticket immediately after realizing he won.

Crabb says the donor said "This was why God put the ticket in his hands."

A state Lottery official said Wednesday that the independent Christian church will get a little over $100,000 a year through 2028. The amount could be higher if withheld taxes are refunded because of the church's nonprofit status.

Crabb says the 650-member church will give the first year's proceeds to other charities.

:pray: now so late, i hope still have people reading this.

 

  1. Let's pray for nice weather tomorrow for our Christian bikers BS & fellowship at frangipani villa 12pm.
  2. Also pray for the Holy Spirit to guide & teach us His ways during the Bible Study.
  3. Pray that during the fellowship gathering, everyone will be encouraged by lots of sharings & testimonies to become closer to our Lord God, creator of heaven & earth.

haha.. found this interesting quote in another forum.. simply put it that if you've 2 bikes on hand, the older one isnt exactly inferior to the newer one that you might just have gotten. Its just 2 different comparisons like banana and papaya... one yellow the other orangy green. both are great bikes! swap 'wives' to 'bikes' la!!

Let's thank Him for fine weather in last Sat BS. It only rained after our group finished BS & reaching the BMW showrooms. I think we had quite a happy time chatting & free buffet too & bike testing.

 

And thank Him for sending Pastor Loke into our midst; the BS really made a diff with a pastor teaching us. We had many difficult questions raised & lucky Pastor Loke was around to answer them. :smile:
