anyone can summarise in few sentences what we learn today?

 

My learning - There are 2 laws at work at same time. Law of our sinful nature and law of the Holy Spirit in us. I have to constantly be aware which law will rule my life. Got to daily go to HIM with my struggle & temptation. My spirit is willing but my flesh is weak.

 

And Pastor Loke mentioned this.. once we confess our sin to God, HE forgives and REMEMBER no more.

 

Thank God.

 

Another pastor mention this before.. God never condemn, HE only convict.

if we ever feel condemn.. it is likely from the enemies or what Pastor Loke says.. ourselves or our friends.

1. There is therefore no more condemnation in God's eyes when we accept and declare what Jesus has done for us. We are sinless in His eyes and made righteous thru Christ Jesus.

 

2. The wages of sin has been broken but the struggle to stay out of sin's power continues. Its impossible not to sin cause of our sinful nature and it's only when we are made perfect at Jesus' second coming that we can finally be able to sin no more.

 

My spirit is willing but my flesh is weak.

hey, 2day ST John has a guest speaker ..Pastor Ivan from Woodlands Evangelical Free Church, speakin on topic of Missionaries.. guess wat,,,he came in a FJR1300.. ..

when he ask for ppl to respond to d call for Missions.. it dawn upon mi perhaps..jus perhaps ...its no coincidence dat he rides..dat i m to volunteer,,,, so i submit my name...

 

perhaps some day in future i wil b doing missionary in Est Timor..

 

but a better choice wil b Laos ? cos den i can ride my KTM ther... err... i mean Yama Tenere....

Our bro Patendao now in cambodia.. n a few others are doing some projects of this kind. We all can build up with something little first.

 

Know of an Christian Children Home just across JB causeway, Leo helps them in setting up computer labs with donated computers from Singapore. This place house 14 kids, run by a couple.. the father of the house is a pastor. If u all keen, we can ride there one of these days. We all are free to spend time with the kids, coach them, play with them too.. have to write in first thou cos sometimes the kids might have something on. Any suggestions??

havent seen u guys for quite a while... cldnt attend ydae BS, as i had a family function. seems like there was great time of sharing and learning!

 

i went to view a honda nx4 today. FT plate, asking 2.3k..its using xr4 engine.

but the overall condition doesnt seem tt good. anyone with comments on this bike?

i know of a church in the highlands of chiang rai. theres a local sgp church doing missionary work, send mission team every few months.

it wld be nice, if we can help them out. english lessons, games, computer skills, etc..

but it wld take at least 2-3days just to travel up?

plus lots of leave for the working people. i was told, 5 days, would be a sufficient time to spend there to live and interact with the village kids.

 

maybe we can start with the JB first? and slowly work our way up?

i totally in support of visiting such a orphanage. Jesus did told us to show acts of love to the fatherless, homeless , the hungry etc. What more worthy things to do in life, than to tell those little children that Jesus loves them.

Yesterday BS, we must thanks Him for the great weather, and the great sharing from those who are there; thru His Holy Spirit.

 

Please remember testimonies & sharings not only uplifted the faith of the listeners to become stronger, it also uplifted the speaker's faith , because he is testifying God's goodness & mercy upon him. So let's continue to glorify His name during our BS & even thru this SBF thread.

 

My personal advice how to fight against sinful addictions (drugs abuse, gambling , internet pornography, smoking etc) , is to have a consistent quiet time with Him every day, reading & meditating on His holy words (at least 1 chapter a day) . Also attend a cell group or BS study group weekly.

 

Once we have the above, we'll be close to Him, that we are so filled with the Holy Spirit. Then speak & ask in Jesus name that the addiction be removed from our body & soul, and have faith in Jesus & believe in your heart it will be done. The miracle will then happen.

 

I must stressed that we have to "speak" as in uttering the words of God or His promises. We have to do this while filled with the Holy Spirit. And we must have faith of the heavenly kind, and believes that it will be done. All these is what my pastor said in his sermon today.

 

Matthew 21:21 is not talking about a real mountain; it is talking about a seemingly huge problem such as addictions (drugs abuse, gambling , internet pornography, smoking etc) ,incurable disease such as cancer, huge debts, relationship breakdown between Husband & wife, or parents & child etc, it could also be a problem at work.

 

What seems to be a huge mountain for us, is nothing more than a mole hill for God!!! Just trust & believe in Him to perform miracles in your life everyday!

 

Matthew Chapter 21

21Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. 22If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."
