Visit to Children Home across JB this sat, 20 Sept 2008

Let's spend some time with these 14 children, they are welcoming and they love to play. Get to know them first and we can see what we can do for them. This place is just 10-15min rides after custom, woodlands. Our bikes will be very safe inside the house :) who who is coming?

 

Meeting Time around 9am.. what is a good time to avoid jam ar? Anyone can suggest a place to eat breakfast?

i suggest you guys meet at 10-1015am. 9am confirm jam one.

 

u guys can go behind pelangi, some street called maju to have dim sum or kway chap for breakfast

i got idea on what activity to do

with the children at Berkat Children

Home. Take them on the bike for

joyride, and they will be so happy ...

heck, i'll be so happy too if somebody

how abt we take all d children out for nice lunch :).... wif free balloons ......i kw my kids loved McD breakfast..not so much for d food but for d free toys... now its d Star Wars Clone Wars series ...i thk

 

 

Wif d daily dose of -ve news from financial meltdowns etc... its fascinatin to read d news n yet so unsettlin for d spirit... tis Sat wil b a good break for us to relax n learn to love others

bring them out for lunch sounds good or we can order KFC back =P

 

i emailed the father of the home regarding if we can bring the older kids on some little ride around the premises.. no reply leh.. maybe next trip.. will sound them out again. We can also charter a bus to bring them to other places in msia.. i checkout noah's ark at secondlink.. the owner of e place called me immediately when she know it kids we are bringing cos they have over 700dogs roaming around.. i guess i be more terrified than the children. The children have 3 big dogs in their home.

This sunday, at my Lighthouse Church, it will be part 3 of how to cast the "mountain" of unsurmountable problems into the sea.

 

The "mountain" could be incurable cancer, incurable sickness that no doctors can cure for years. relationship problems, financial troubles, workplace problems, jobless etc.

 

If you need miracles to happen in your lives everyday like I do, do come with a expectations that all things are possible with God.

What more worthy things to do in life than to tell little fatherless children that God is their true father & Jesus loves them so much that He died for them.

 

We went to the orphanage on 20 sep 08, 10am with these in mind for the first time & I wasn't disappointed. The little innocent parentless children are crying for love & attention. These children, some were abandoned by the parents.Some comes from broken families who parents are in jail. Some have parents who died. Some of them from single parent, who is too poor to support them.

What I was most impressed with them is most of them have memorized the Lord's prayer. All of them were reciting the prayer in one voice -->

After a session of ice breaking , we start interacting with them for the next few hours. Poor William was the only one with bike & he with his kind heart, brought the 15 plus children for rides on his bike, one at a time.

Yew Kiat also bring them for a spin in his car. You can see in their faces they had so much joy & fun. We really hope our next time, more bikers will come to bring joy to these little children.

 

 

We also played games, checkers & chess with the children. Talked to them , laugh & joke with them.

I think we all feel so happy to be able to give joy to these little children. What to us is a small effort & time spent can give the children so much joy & happiness.

 

Reluctantly while saying goodbye to them, they asked me when I will be back? I told them 2 weeks from now. I told them I bring my bike in this time.

Definitely by His grace, I will be back to see them again in 2 weeks time. I hope many bikers out there will want to do the same.

Wif GODs blessings we drove in n out wif little traffic on d causeway... had fun time playin wif d kids at Berkat Childrens Home..

 

its so cute when d little princess, larissa, lead d children in prayers...n d chorus of kids singing n worship reali reali is a joy to listen to...

 

May Jesus protects n bless these children so dat they can grow up 2 b GOD loving ... n bless Pasotr Raymond n family for their love n care for these kids...

 

William did on behalf of ALL Lightriders in fetchin n testridin his bike wif d kids...tough job...hard on him ah...

 

n Bless Leo for his help to d HOME all these times... d pc wer setup so nicely in d lab..
