God Commands His Blessing On Your Storehouses

 

Deuteronomy 28:8

8 The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses…

 

 

When Jesus walked on earth, He had no bank account or Visa card. Yet, He was rich, lacking nothing. He had whatever He needed for Himself as well as for the people around Him. When they needed healing, He provided it. (Matthew 12:15) When they needed food, He provided it. (Matthew 14:13–21) As long as they had Him, they had whatever they needed.

 

Likewise, when you have Jesus, you have an anointing within that makes you rich, even though in the natural, when you look at your finances, there may not be much. God Himself has promised that He will command the blessing on you in your storehouses. Notice that He said “storehouses”. This means that He will command the blessing on your bank accounts, investment plans and everywhere that you put your money! Your storehouses will be blessed because when God commands the blessing, the blessing has no choice but to come on your storehouses!

 

Yes, the Lord is our stronghold in times of distress (financial crisis).

I also believes in Malachi 3:9-10 which talks about opening the floodgates of blessings. It's something christians sometimes overlooked.

God Gives You Power To Get Wealth

 

Deuteronomy 8:18

18 “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

 

 

The idea that poverty is holy and wealth a curse never came from God. It came from the devil who wants you poor. He robs and steals from you (John 10:10), and even wants you to have a poverty mentality to keep you poor! God, however, wants you to prosper. And He does it by giving you the power to get wealth.

 

Having this power means that if you are a businessman, you will find yourself full of innovative ideas that will bring in huge profits for your company. Even as a salaried worker, you will find yourself promoted quickly because your organization values your contributions highly.

 

God wants to prosper you like how He prospered Abraham — in all things (Genesis 24:1) — so that He can fulfill the covenant He made with Abraham. God gave Abraham the power to get wealth, and he became rich in “flocks and herds, silver and gold, male and female servants, and camels and donkeys”. (Genesis 24:35) His son, Isaac, inherited his possessions and was also empowered by God to get wealth, so he became “very prosperous”. (Genesis 26:13) God also gave Abraham’s grandson, Jacob, the power to get wealth, and he grew “exceedingly prosperous”. (Genesis 30:43)

 

God’s promise that Abraham and his seed would possess the earth or be heirs of the world was not based on obedience to the law, but on the righteousness of faith. (Romans 4:13) And because you are in Christ and righteous by faith, you are Abraham’s seed and an heir of the world according to the promise. (Galatians 3:29) Are heirs of the world poor? Of course not!

 

My friend, God wants you to be prosperous, not just inwardly but outwardly too. (3 John 1:2) So today, even if you don’t have a cent in your pocket, remember the Lord your God. It is He who gives you the power to get wealth, so that He may establish His covenant with Abraham!

bro, i agree with you 101% in this. When I was a new & hot christian in my NS days, i was blessed for many years until I became complacent & become lukewarm (neither hot nor cold). Then those blessings stop coming. When I return to Him passionately again recently, the blessings starts pouring again. It's so miraculous!!!

 

Let's praise Him again.

My pastor in Lighthouse also taught this message, if hv this 3 C, wealth will comes to us.

 

1C = Character : hardworking, helpful, going the extra mile, trustworthy, honest, teachable, humility etc Possess all characteristic that Jesus wants us to be, and also fruits of the Holy Spirit.

2C = Competence: Striving to learn everything about the job you are doing at work. Even going beyond it. Be very very competent in your job or field of expertise.

3C = Consistency: Behaves the same as the above, even when your boss is not around.

 

Those who have the 3C will not be retrenched during bad times. Unless the boss is stupid or blind.

 

But most of all, lean upon Him harder during hard times & He will shield us from the storm.

Mathews 25:14-30 Parables of the Talents

In this parables, it teaches that those who use their talents & money to expand His kingdom will be blessed with even more talents & money. If God is God, wouldn't He wants to give more money to His servants who are using the money & talents to expand His kingdom? Surely being the wisest being around, He would wants to His servants to have even more money to expand His kingdom!

 

It doesn't make sense for Him not to bless these people, unless we saying that He doesn't exist!

In Word-Faith religion the believer uses God, whereas, the truth of Biblical Christianity is, God uses the believer! Word-Faith theology sees the Holy Spirit as a Power to be put to use for whatever the believer wants. The Bible teaches, however, that the Holy Spirit is a person who enables the believer to do whatever God wants. It is absolutely the opposite of Scripture. Many Word-Faith teachers claim that Jesus was "Born Again" so that we might become "little gods." Scripture, however, teaches that Jesus is God and it is we who must be born again.

 

Frankly, I have little or no tolerance for these deceptions, these corruptions of Scriptures and false claims of the Word faith movement. I have absolutely no constraints on me to speak to this issue because I believe that I am literally bound by my obligation as one called to minister the truth of God to so speak, because this defies everything I understand to be true about Scripture.

 

The movement [Word-Faith] closely resembles some of the destructive greed sects that ravaged the early church. Paul and other apostles were not accommodating to or conciliatory with the false teachers who propagated ideas like that in their day. They identified them as dangerous false teachers and urged Christians to avoid them. Paul warned Timothy, for example, about "Men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain." This isn't anything new. Paul was dealing with those who thought godliness was a ticket for money. Paul further said to Timothy,

 

But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith, and pierced themselves with many a pang. But flee from these things. [1 Tim 6:9-11, NASB].

These cults are generated, know this, out of a love for money! They develop a religion to accommodate their lusts. Jude wrote of the greed mongers of his day,

Woe to them! For they have gone the way of Cain, and for pay they have rushed headlong into the error of Balaam, and perished in the rebellion of Korah. These men are those who are hidden reefs in your love-feasts when they feast with you without fear, caring for themselves; clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, doubly dead, uprooted; wild waves of the sea, casting up their own shame like foam; wandering stars, for whom the black darkness has been reserved forever . . . They are grumblers, finding fault, following after their own lusts; they speak arrogantly, flattering people for the sake of gaining an advantage. [Jude 11-13, 16 NASB]

There is nothing that I could say that would be as strong as that, and that is out of God's Word. Peter wrote,

 

But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned; and in their greed they will exploit you with false words. [2 Pet 2:1-3, NASB].

Peter went on to say,

Their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep . . . For speaking out arrogant words of vanity they entice by fleshly desires, by sensuality, [that is, they entice you by the things you lust for], and they entice those who barely escape from the ones who live in error, promising them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by what a man is overcome, by this he is enslaved. [2 Peter 2:3, 18-19, NASB].

You show me a person who preaches the "Money Gospel," the "Money Message," the "Wealth Message," I'll show you a person who has been corrupted by the love of money; that's what Peter is saying. Paul said covetousness is idolatry and Paul forbade the Ephesians to be partakers with anyone who brought either a message of immorality or a message of covetousness (Ephesians 5:5-7).

i thought our last BS meeting, we agree we should do BS in our respective churches , and remove the "BS" name. Coz it deter non-believers from coming. We shld concentrate on being a fellowship. And using "fellowship" as a vehicle for outreaching.

 

Mr. Nu , a non-believer who came in our last BS, showed us 2 stacks of photos of how he attended a presbyterian christian fellowship in Israel when he was posted there for 4 years. Their group drove to the deserts & hold fellowship gatherings at different scenic places. All those years have sown in him a yearning to know our Lord God. Now although he is not yet a believer, he is at the edge of tipping over to know Him. But it shows how important "fellowships" is to sown seeds which will later sprouts.
