amost completed but on some stretch its not commissioned yet for public use. there are signboards to warn motorist of this. distance end to end abt 300km ++ .

considering the distance from GP to Simpang Pulai , best to stop overnight at cameron highland. head for Gua Musang the next day. do fill up on reaching the town.

about 30- 4Okm from Guas Musang in the direction towards Kuala Krai - Kota Bahru highway, look out for Kuala Koh National Park signboard, make a right turn at the T- junction into a dense plantation. potholes are abundant there, so be careful.

towards the end, you ’ll meet a Y- intersection with sign mark into Kuala Koh National park. ignore it just go straight. about 5km ahead another cross junction with lots of parked heavy vehicles, make a right turn. after that, cruising speed at will. this route leads to Tasik Kenyir. due to land slide or road collapse, it’s quite hazardous on some section of the highway. so on the look out for it and watch the that throttle. enjoy the nature's beauty while you're at it.

exiting Tasik Kenyir. use the Kuala Berang route to Kuala Terengganu if you’ve got a stop plan there. should be another 600km++ south bound for home. good luck and ride safe.

Hi Aikon, I am planning to ride the route from Terengganu to Cameron.

When did you did yours?

Just wondering if the port holes and landslides are fixed.

In your opinion , is it worth the journey from Terengganu to Gua Musang on the new road/highway ?

Thanks

were with some friends last april. potholes are mostly over at Kuala Koh National Park route. need to do minor detour by the roadside when approaching landslide sections . there were repairs in progress, but not all of it took place together though. only barricaded with detour sign if its not repaired yet. need extra careful with the spilt earth and loose gravels.worth all the hassle once you see Tasik Kenyir 'live'. simply breathtaking, imo.

probably, will do another round via Trengganu the next time. you should try too. :thumb:

The hole , land slide .at kuala koh are not repaired yet, pothole , cow, dung are still all over the place, but it's still passable by bike but not in the wet seasons, there is an existing dirt track to bypass the landslide but again use it when it dry.

i was unable to go to lake kenyir because when i hit kuala koh , (8 hrs journey from kl) at 9 pm

But i did check with the staff at taman negara forest reserved , the raod is not ready from gus musang side unless u have a 4 x 4 untill the 28 june.

the only ready road is still from kota baru

I just went to cameron highlands+Kenyir lake trip on 21-23 August. From cameron highlands, we travelled T156. The road was good. There were some portions with gravel. Slow down your speed at every bends please.
