My bike is great! Love it man. Although I feel a little disappointed with First Motor's standard of work... My baby doesn't feel quite the same...even though she's supposed to be better... power feels much smoother and pick up's still good. But it still feels different though I can't pinpoint what =/. Got my clutch plates changed and my exhaust cut open and washed, muffler/filter changed. Heard it was black and stuck to the pipe! Lol. And Ah Seng said my clutch plates were burnt. Oh well...I'm hoping to find somewhere better...Any recommendations? =D

DEY!!! SUPPER TONIGHT AHHH!!! Everyone come!!

And Amin, is the Pure Italians thing an open invitation to any Italian bike? Or mainly Cagiva and Aprilia? Would be great if the Dukes and and MVs came along too! :bounce:

Sols and Raf,

If you guys meeting for supper tonight, I can bring the Unil-Opal 2T that you ordered.

Will be bringing in a larger order for next month, so have to clear out this month's stock. Next month should be cheaper coz bringing more in by bulk.

Anyway, its still 2 bottles for Sols and 2 bottles for Raf, yeah?

Need anything else bu Unil-Opal?

Gear oil, coolant, chain lube, etc? hehheh

Just buzz me at 9863 2724

Oh, by the way, Unil-Opal's newly formed racing team has acquired a pit in Pasir Gudang. As part of the team, I have the key for the pit. If you guys are interested to go up and play track, can try to arrange with me to go up as well, so can lock your stuff in the pit, dont have to worry abt it getting stolen.

Will inform my AOC members about the Mito Meet. Hope to combine with my group members for another Italian Stallions outing like the last time on 1 Jan! Turn all heads on Orchard Road.

heh heh....

Do update us with the details, aye?

Thanks!

~Lawrence~

Saw my engine block already!! Sliiiight scratch =/. Ah Seng said it's ok but not for long run....won't affect anything so quickly. New piston = $240, new block = $800. Sian man. A bit heart pain lah....but after seeing it being cleaned up, :cheer: :cheer: Heh. Collecting my baby tomorrow at about 6. Any one else think you might be going? Give me a buzz! :bounce:

hmmm... u still in the process of running in the new piston and block?? the bike will feel harder to ride due to the running in process.. further more changing a new clutch palet will mean that the codrod will have been disturbed and is now operating in a different area of the cylinder comparing to the old 1, thus adding more stress to the piston as the bike wasn't totally running in due to the faulty clutch plates as power delivery wasn't 100%.

Thus making the bike seems to be harder to go due to the stress being added to the bike as the parts as new. maybe see if things still remain the same after running in..

hope that can help u understand a bit more about the lack of performance.

if you're running in, you shouldn't even be going at 6k rpm...

unless you believe in hard break in... which i dont.

a poor break in might mean permanently reduced power or worse, piston jam...

duo_maxwell: Thanks for the advice man. Anyway, this piston is a single-ring piston....about 3000+ km old now. I had it serviced on Monday and collected it on Friday. What I did:

- Change clutch plates, $234 inclusive of workmanship. Ah seng said that they couldn't get the gaskets for the gearbox cause it's been out of stock for years lol. So had to use the old one back.. =/

- Top servicing, $150

- Change all fairing bolts and some other ones as well cause a lot of them were rusty, plus drilled 2 holes in my tailseat so that it can be screwed down to main frame and won't shake about, $25

- Wash exhaust plus change packing by Ah Onn..$60.

Oddly enough, my exhaust is STILL leaking 2t.

Block and piston are not changed so don't worry about it being ridden hard heh. As far as I understand, the main parts, with regards to my internal components, which have been changed/adjusted would be the gearbox, engine and carb.

Anyway, will be going down to FM tomorrow....need to collect my licence from TP anyway so will drop by at about 12pm or so. Anyone wanna join?

BTW duo_maxwell, did you use to play Quake 3? And you were pretty good at it? :bounce:
