Just for Info!!??

 

First Motors in Ubi originally was specializing in servicing Aprilia way back in the late 90's. Many of our bros were impressed with their good services. In fact that stretch were Fist Motors is located also has a few Motor shops specializing in other bikes and areas....Ah Tan motors for their good servicing of RXKs and Zs, Ah Joo with their Vespa paint jobs and accessories....

So when the Mito become popular then, they lacked shops with quality servicing. Many of the bros felt that patronizing the dealer shops like E*c*l and Mine*va would only give them a strict monopoly in Mito services.

It so happens that a few Aprilia and Mito riders happen to be sharing info on where to service their bikes. Those days, Mitos & Aprilias were the rival menaces stalking the highways and giving TPs a big fat headache. So they decided switch servicing centres to see any differences in their bike performances. And what do you know...FM gave the Mitos one hell of a servicing! The Aprilians instead complained about the lack of knowledge of the original Mito shops. Many were impressed with their newly serviced Mitos. I remembered a quote by one of the old Malay mech working there in FM.."If only Aprilias had more durable parts as compared with the Mito...life would be so much simpler. " Yup, Mito engines are a hardy lot. Heavy...but hardy. So as word of mouth regarding the shop spreaded around to the other Mito riders, more & more came flocking to the shop and if i remember correctly, the shop took down the display Aprilia bike outside & replaced it with a Mito racing replica, attached with a Roman olive crown around its neck. This happened around the beginning of the new millenium, symbolizing the dedication of FM to Cagiva. There....

a bit of history told about the Mitos in Singapore;P

hmm.. I think my mech Ah Ken from Pang's Scooter who services my Aprilia used to work at FM.. earlier he was with HKL..

Nah my 2a is coming up soon, so probably a monster 400 or sv400. I was originally planning to keep the mito as a 2nd bike, but recent unexpected expenditures means i'll only be able to own one bike comfortably.
