who's the kuku red mito rider on the expressway just now ah? wanted to go beside to wave hi but stupid guy tot i racing with him so speed up.. end up i overshot too fast din get to wave hi then he zoom off liao. kaoz unfriendly leh

Hi im sorry, actually i did slow down at TPE wanted to say "Hi" also, but i suddenly rmb tt i have to rush to work. So sorry no offence. but the Aprilia did catch up. I wanna say hi to him but he is in front of me all the while.

well bro, all 2b italian bikes (aprilia or cagiva)are juz like any other more popular siamese 2b bike(nsr150, kips, etc) out there. dun be freaked out by horror tales of italian bikes sucks or cant out ran siamese bikes. through proper tuning or swapping for performance parts will bring out its best! wad italian bikes have an edge over siamese bikes is the introduction of lta compliant arrow full sys exhaust!

but of course la, should an italian bike & a siamese bike be set up similiarly, the former would lose out due to 2reasons- it's 125cc vs 150cc, diff of 20% engine cc; and bigger tires. the tiny 125cc engine had to work extra hard to get moving!

 

component's life wise, most of the italian bikes on sale are ard 5yrs old or older(fs plate or earlier) and so most if not some of the electrical or mechanical parts are getting worn & need replacing. siamese bikes of the same age oso have worn components needing replacing ma. but it certainly costs abit more for the parts since there are not much generic brands ard & most prob u gotta buy original parts back. while for siamese bikes, there are alot of siamese generic brands which are alot cheaper than original parts.

 

nothing special to take note on servicing, it just required regular oil change, quality 2t oil top up, replacing components when they got worn out, etc same as other 2b bikes.

but since italian bikes offered electric start for the rider's convinence, the battery would get the most abuse from the bike.

practise switching off the headlight (koz the bulbs really drain the batt fast!)when turning into the carpark to get some bit of charge into the batt, checking & topping up battery water every month or so. if u religiously follow the above 2steps, u'll have troublefree starting up everytime!

i had trouble free start up, except a couple of times, which i learnt from my mistake, for the running 10months proper jettings & tuning oso play a part!

Speaking of Yong Tau Foo, e one in AMK Central hawker centre is very delicious. Has one of those highly recommended good food sign too.

Instead of me telling u when i m free, y not u put up a selection of dates for us to vote?

Be prepare for the batteries, and rectifier problems. I have never regret owning a Mito, except of this minor electrical problems. Other than that, it is a great bike on the track with it's superb handlings.

sure i'm thinking to jb and eat. problem is some of the bikers cant or have trouble going out of silly pore ma. wads more richard & me take turns to organise outings ma. 1st time is me on scissors cut curry rice dinner, then him on cagiva meetup last week, now is my turn liao ma haha.... was thinking to suggest another outing to make up for the henderson yong tau foo & 2nd link clearing meter dat was not covered in last week's trip too.

problem is this- to ensure there's minimal q at henderson rd yong tau foo, it's best to go there on the weekdays. mondays' close fyi. 2nd link clear meter would end nicely if the last destination is at the dam ma. then some bikers cant go out of sillypore so muz spare some consideration for them too ma.

we come & go as a group, and we can't possibly pang shair them halfway through and we go clear meter ourselves and tell them to wait somewhere for us. not very nice hor.

at least ubin makan, all bikers can make it if they're free on dat day.

haha.... actually was thinking of getting today off & rejet my bike. then can jio supper together again. but the weather was so sucky! totally drenched on way home from work!

if fishballs really pop out of my exhaust ah, i'll make sure it's next destination is in ur mouth eh! heheh...

btw ordered my h4 hid liao... hopefully will reach spore next week or so. behold the future lighting solution! high intensity discharge lighting system!
