that matt black FM plate from first motor.. has 10 previous owner. date of registration.. 1994 if i'm not wrong. (: what you think about it? you can ask about it in here.. it was kaizer's ex mito.

been at first motors almost every weekday after work since its less than 5 mins walk away from my workplace..

 

the FM plate matt black mito respray liao the outlook not bad leh.. never really saw the inside la so can't really comment much on it.

 

who's the red FM plate mito who's saw me twice at FM?

Yo bro now my bike is at AMK industrial park Autopoint. A big place where cars rule but there's a car respray shop that does respraying for bikes. Geko has done his respray there too.

Yup i respray every part of my croc skin fairings..after taking out all e fairings now only left frame and engine.

10 owner!!?? i reall dono... but i really wish that when i be the 11st owner of the bike the bike will love me as how i fall in love with her. i been dreaming about her every night when i first meet her hehe.. funny thing is that when i tell me friends ard me saying that i am getting a mito most of them try to stop me and give bad comment why isit so?? is this really so bad? but who cares. love is blind and i am sure i am going to get it..

hah..i have the same situation too before n when i got my mito..

frenz around giving bad remarks abt mito..but who cares..hah..

But i going to pass my mito to another owner le..

overall i still love my mito..

Friends around me have been telling me Mitos are bad before I got mine, and are still telling me they're bad even after riding one for a few months.

But they never seem to catch up when we're riding together.

 

So if you've already been smitten by a Mito, just go for it like the rest of us.

I promise you'll encounter a few hitches when you first start out, but once you've ironed out the beginning problems you'll love it even more!

 

Question to Mito-Riders:

Was in a rush just now and the expressway was quite empty so I did 160 at full-throttle for around 15 minutes.

When I reached my carpark and slowed down to stop, my engine died before I came to a halt.

Tried to start but couldn't, as if battery was low.

But it seems quite impossible seeing how I was hi-revving just below redline for a full 15 minutes prior.

So I run-started but now the engine sounds extremely rough, like there's some sand rattling in the engine like that.

 

Anyone has any idea what happened?

 

The last time I tried something like that my engine just died in mid-ride and I had to coast to the side of the expressway and try for a few minutes before it would move again.

hmm mito.. as an italian bike.. be prepared to pay more if you need to change parts. first hand parts prices are out of the world.. so second hand parts are a much better choice. yeah so tht's the main reason why people say italian bike (mito and aprilia) are so called bad.

 

duriandan: wah 160 for 15mins? i was riding from jurong to bedok just now as well (night time).. 6th gear 6-7k rpm.. (mine's SP.. not mito ). after stopping for the first time after exiting expressway.. bike died on me too.. netural light could not be seen at all.. had to off headlight in order to start bike.. guess mine's a battery problem.. dont' know about yours. tomorrow will be the third day in a row which i'll be going down to HKL..

Yes! Yes! That's the same thing that happened to me.

After dying it was hard to switch gears and to put to Neutral, couldn't see the Neutral light either.

But mine's even worse, had to push-start.

 

But this morning was ok.

Engine still sounded a little rough, but it started on the first try.

Don't know whether it's because it's not meant to be whacked like that.

i suspected either is that u hv ur lights on whenever u ride thus the battery lifespan will be a bit shorter than usual...i used to encounter tis problem too so i no never on my lights in the daytime and when u park the bike where do u turn the key ignition to which position till...and as for the changing of gears...it happen to me till now whenever i ride for long distance or for abt an hour...i oso tends to hv tis stupid problem...me thinking maybe it was the engine too hot le so like tis loh..tis is my opinion bros..correct me if i'm wrong...thks...

For the sandy like rattling sound from the engine, it happened to me too. I've to travel PIE from Jurong to Bedok almost everyday at speeds of 90-110km/h. But next day the engine is back to normal. My mech told me it's the piston ring sound, during hard riding or prolonged riding it'll expand hence the sound.

Regarding the engine died off/can't start I'm not too sure..could be your batt because it neva happened to me b4.

Yup I used to make the noobie mistake of turning the ignition all the way to ‘P’ (Park) where the lights would remain on instead of ‘LOCK’.

Then I would find my battery’s dead in the morning.

yeah.. can't see the neutral light then i push to road side to kick start. panic siah. 2nd day take bike only. haha.. then my signal light won't blink also. guess it's batt problem alr. going down hkl soon.. luckily still under warrenty..

Ah my doubt has been cleared.

That's why the sound goes away after the bike cools down in a few minutes.

 

Maybe the bike died because the piston ring expanded too much from heat for the engine to function properly.

 

At least now I know my Mito definately cannot tahan whack all the way touring in Malaysia.

did u check on ur signal relay see if it is working or not..or maybe is the light bulb loose contact or blown le loh....if all tis are working normally...lol...hv to let hkl check le ba...and as for the neutral light it would be the wiring problem...see if they are charred or going to break contact so sometimes the neutral light cant light up when u kick to it....

for wat i noe the engine rattling sounds could be the piston ring loose...just bring to any workshop to get it tighten...think the sound will goes off le...and the temperature of the engine plays a part in the sound too...
