LOL...

2 option against xiao Yang..

1. Buy a faster bike and ride faster.

2. Ride slower so that he can follow.

I guess we shall go with option 2. haha

hi folks. need some advice from you seasoned Mito riders. i have recently acquired a Mito and am having some problems with the battery. it went dead flat and i had it changed a week ago. today, it went dead flat again. i am wondering if you folks have similar issues before? and if so, what was the cause and the solution?

when i changed batteries, i noticed there was a blue revtec box in the compartment. its some kind of voltage regulator. anyone know if that can malfunction and cause the battery to die?

will probably take it to a mito experienced shop (fm or excel as advised) but not sure what to look out for and don't want to end up changing things that do not need to be changed. so any advise is appreciated.

thanks all in advance!

mito is not like other bikes which charges battery the moment you start your bike.

it may be your rectifier's problem or you didn't ram it up to a certain rpm to start charging the bike.

recommended brand for battery is yausa!:smile::smile::smile:

never say NO to cornering

bike can start as normal, but cannot move. HAHAHA...

I got my mito recently too. Last weekend face my first battery problem. When totally dead. Once at Shell petrol station and once at changi end. Was very lucky to have fellow rider help me push start at both place. It's quite inconsistance, my bike can start without problem a day later and last night it went dead again. I suspect my rectifier or my charging method not right. As I ride my bike at night most of the time with headlight on.

PS: I find rider much more welling to help fellow rider in trouble then car driver. Cheers. :cheeky:

Oh, that mean i can't start the bike and leave it there to charge?

yup... u can't.... our bike only will charge when ur rpm is at 7.... another words opened valve... that is one good thing... cause it will prevent ur valve from jamming itself from all the 2t n it will charge ur battery also...

7k rpm to charge...ok. i will remember this. but that means in most singapore roads will have to ride in 2nd or 3rd gear man...teruk.

i usually ride between 5-6k rpm and with headlights on at low beam. i don't ride too fast. yesterday the battery was really flat until i can slot it inside my letterbox! this morning the volt meter says 12v (like one poster mentioned also) but i didn't wanna start because if it dies again then teruk. i'll start it up when i bring it to the shop. it is now running a dry cell battery.

where do you folks get your wet cell yuasa? the shop i was at didn't have it.

also...how to maintain at 7k rpm? i don't ride the bike often...will this pose a problem?
