Dunlop Rideen is also a good choice. Bridgestone battlax also quite good.

ok thks alot azahael...ownin a bike is not an easy thing...change this change tht...so headache...just when u tot "ok..cool my bike should be ok for the next few mths except servicin".some other wear n tear pops up...jus changed brake pads...now tires...hmm i'lll see wad has my bike installed for me next.haha...chain n spocket shld be next.

Chain, DID X-ring gold would be nice $130. But for a more branded approach Takasago RK X-ring gold $140 which is what im using. No difference only the brand name. For normal road riding dragon is good but if u decided to play on the track i advise you Dunlop rideen. It wont give way like Bridgestone battlax and Pirelli dragon cause of its slightly harder compound.

 

Anyway I would like to ask you where did you get the speedocable from? Which shop? Mine just spoilt suddenly while riding and also im looking for a pair of original mirror and signal lights.

 

Anyone got these items to sell me? I'll pay you a good deal.

thks for yr advice on the chains...i prob next mth thn go change...

i got fr first motor....but that time was just nice they had 2nd hand ones...i bought for 38...i'm quite sure they dun hav any speedo cables in hand...excel also no more liao(accordin to desmo)...

 

as for signal lights... i also looking for orig. signal lights.told first motor to help me order liao...but he said he'll help me look out for 2nd hand ones in the meantime..

i'll be changin new tires next mth...should i get the Pirelli Dragon...Dunlop Rideen or Bridgestone battlax ...as ahazeal mentioned dunlop rideen is the best of all...but i dun track..but is the price diff alot?(if it's not...i'll rather get the better one...)...... which shop has the cheapest tires? Eunos Superbike Centre reallli gd n cheap ,kaizer?

hmm.. this 1 u gotta check out liao.. go down personal n ask perhaps? hmm.. really no point buying a 15bhp 6 gears restricted mito.. summore new bike insurance kinda ex.. if u can afford 2 spend on a brand new mito.. imagine urself buying a fm/n/p plate mito instead.. change evything.. frm head to toe except the frame n front fork.. i definately believe it will cost u less than 10k? think abt it bro..

hmm.. hard 2 say.. mayb excel? actually they didnt buy the bike ar.. the bikes r onli 'put' there for sale.. if they r able 2 sell.. earn commission n interest i suppose.. but really no point ar.. for 13k i can buy myself a brand new vtec3? an efi r1? a k2? a fp plate ducati 916? the list goes on n on n on....

The prices are probably around the same if you go to any reputable shops.

 

The REAL question is, how is the AFTERSALES SERVICE.

 

If you like First Motor, then buy there, I'm sure you'll be given more attention and care since you bought the bike from them. Shops make damn much more money selling bikes rather than from constant servicing etc.

 

BTW the guy who bought the red mito was a 40-something nigerian called "Ian" or something like that. He already has a mito, but was trading in his old one for that brand new one.

 

Now that's what I call a mito freak!

 

BTW, the black mito (brand new) at Ducati Singapore dissappeared already leh! That one also sold ah? Now got MV Agusta Brutale in its place man!!!!!!

can u tell me more about the difference between a "restricted" and "unrestricted" mito? sorry but i am new to bikes and not familiar with the terms that are used here.

 

and what do u mean by change everything? as in even the engine? is it still road legal after the mods?

hmm.. unrestricted mito have 7 gears... with 31bhp.. while restricted mito r cap at 15bhp due to the european law.. with onli 6 gears.. double the power with 1 more gear.. u c the diff yeah? i was told that most 6 gears 15bhp mito can go faster than 190.. only a minority can.. as for 7 gears 'old' mito.. i believe if the condition is ok.. can hit 200..
