old console cannot play 360 games. old one uses DVD, new one uses HD DVD. some old console games (not all) can be played on new console.

 

the games available are not the same. there are no more new games being produced for the old console.

just bought one recently and wondering if any fellows here wanna play online for fun. i play online with strangers dam frustrating, all dam skilled out to increase points kept getting killed; i'm in it just for fun. plus dam irritated to hear ang moh cursing and swearing in the background.

 

i've got COD4, Forza2, Ace Combat 6, Halo 3 and NFS Most Wanted.

sorry man. i somehow find gran turismo of playstation better than forza, but still its probably the best simulation type racing available for the 360, so i'm not willing to let it go. now if they could just come out with a bike version....

 

i also have NFS: Most Wanted, which i'm not enjoying as much coz its arcade based and i prefer simulation based.

if you have the cash and you realli wanna get in on the gaming, i suggest you buy the XBOX360 'Arcade' which is currently retailing at $399. it only has 256MB storage, but thats enuff for casual gaming and you can always buy additional storage cards if you ever find you need more.

 

just fyi, the standard XBOX360 is now $499 with 20GB storage which is more than you'll probably need for gaming.

sounds like a good deal... i've got doax2, gta4, ng2, and pes2008. however i have not completed any of these games yet so i dont think i would want to sell them.

its good.

 

but end of the day, AC4: 'Shattered Skies' was the absolute best in terms of storyline and missions, followed by AC5: 'The Unsung War'. Anyone who's played those will feel that AC6 falls a little short. but if its your first AC game and you like flight sims, it'll be superb. although u have to get used to the realism of the flight control if its really your first time.

Now spending lots of time on NG2. Path of the Warrior. My friend on Acolyte completed the game in 10 hours. I have spent 2 hours on it and am only at level 3. Warrior level is tough!

Actually some older games cost much cheaper than gameshop website. My wifey bought me DOAX2 for $49.90 from a shop at Century Square whereas other places sold it for $69.90...

 

I just saw a few copies of Marvel Ultimate Alliance at PC SHow 2008 @ Suntec City. Some 360 games are being sold at 1 for $39.90 and 3 for $99.90 but I didn't buy any though. All I got this time was a Microsoft Wireless Desktop solution (keyboard + mouse).

i just played the demo for guitar hero 3 and now i'm hooked. but the bundle also sold out everywhere like marvel

GH3 is what game? I was just looking around not for anything in particular. Usual bunch of offers for cameras, notebooks, printers etc which I am totally not inerested in.

 

Maybe end of this year's show (in December) will see me getting one big-ticket item, though I don't know yet what it will be.
